Summary

Fans ofStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic- often abbreviated to KOTOR - have been through an emotional rollercoaster over the past few years. Back in 2021,a full-blown remake was revealedwith a teaser designed to hype everyone up. However, just a year later, it washanded over to a new developer, and since then, we’ve heard next to nothing about the game.

Everyone involved has beenvery reluctant to commenton the state of theKOTOR Remake, only occasionally willing toconfirm that it is actively in development. It’s led many to believe thatit will never launch, since we’re now almost four years past the teaser trailer with nothing to show for it. Not to mention, all we’ve had in the meantime is adodgy port of KOTOR 2 on Switch.

So, with all of that in mind, fancy putting down the money for a pre-order? Well, at least a couple of stores online seem to think that people will, because they’ve opened pre-orders before we even know how much the game will retail for, or if it will actually see the light of day.

KOTOR Remake Pre-Orders Are Being Accepted By These Sites, For Some Reason

Perhaps they’re trying to manifest it into existence?

Asspottedby Reddit user Curlytoast95, Swiss store World of Games is listing the game on its site. I had a look around too, and found it on Playasia.

World of Games lists it for 79.99 Swiss francs, which converts to around $94 USD. Playasia has it for €80.69, or $89 USD. Of course, regional pricing doesn’t often directly convert like this, so it seems that these stores are anticipating a price point of around $80, a standardset by Nintendo with its upcoming Switch 2 library of games. Xbox then announced that it wouldbe doing the game.

Of course, none of this is actually confirmed right now. The box art being used isn’t official, nor is pretty much anything about the game. We wererecently assured that it does exist, but at this point in time, you might want to hold off on pre-ordering.
