Franchises with some of the most famous characters in the world have worked with Jazwares to turn those characters intoSquishmallows.Marvelhasn’t really been one of them, though. It would appear that’s all about to change, asSpider-ManandVenomSquishmallows have just appeared unannounced on Amazon.
Marvel fans spotted the new Squishmallows late on Friday night. Despite the lack of an official announcement from Marvel or Squishmallows, both Spider-Man and Venom’s squishy new plushes are already available to buy. They’re both12 inches tall, so the standard size for most Squihsmallows, andeach costs $19.99.

Even though pre-orders for the Squishmallows are now open, it’s going to be a while before they get to you.The squishy Spider-Verse pair won’t be released until July 07, 2025.Since these are the first Marvel Squishmallows released for a very long time - and kind of the first ever, more on that in a second - Jazwares has stuck with each character’s most iconic and best-known design.
The Spider-Man Squishmallow, for example, has the webslinger in his default red and blue suit with a black web pattern on the chest. Venom’s Squishmallow is black and white, with a long-legged white spider emblem across its chest, and a creepy embroidered tongue sticking out of the squishy symbiote’s mouth, which is a nice touch.

Spider-Man’s original red and blue look has been turned into a Squishmallow. The webslinger’s squishy plush is 12 inches tall and is based on the most famous Marvel villain’s most iconic look.

Venom, Marvel’s most famous symbiote, has been turned into a Squishmallow. The mostly black plush has creepy white eyes and a matching white spider across its chest. A pointy tongue is sticking out of the Squishmallow’s mouth to complete the look.
There have been other Marvel Squishmallows, but not many
As for Marvel’s prior work with Squishmallows, this is technically Spider-Man’s second Squishmallow. The only Marvel Squishmallows released before this were a set of Spidey and his Amazing Friends plushes. Squishmallows based on Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Ghost Spider’s designs in the Disney+ kids show were released in various sizes a few years ago, but there was no Marvel Squishmallow follow-up until now.
You might be convinced that there are other Marvel Squishmallows out there, and you’d be half right. TY has a line of toys called Squish-A-Boos, which, as you will have guessed from the name, are very similar to Squishmallows. Marvel heroes, including Captain America, Hulk, andIron Man, have been turned into Squish-A-Boos.
I’m very surprised Squish-A-Boos werenever hit with a Squishmallows lawsuit like Build-A-Bears Skoosherz.
Marvel may not have realized just how big a deal Squishmallows would be when it restricted its collection to characters from a kids' show a few years ago. Now everyone wants a piece of the action.Pokemonnow has 16 Squishmallows, andBluey just got its first Squishmallow designs last week. There are also several Disney Squishmallows,including this new four-pack of Disney villains, which might mean this is just the start of Marvel’s proper Squishmallow collection.
