Exotic class items were added inDestiny 2: The Final Shapeas a way for Prismatic subclasses to min-max their builds. Unlike traditional Exotic armor, each Exotic class item drops with randomized Exotic traits pulled from other armor pieces, some of which originate from other classes.
Warlocks get the Solipsism Exotic bond, featuring a perk pool that augments your Rifts, Supers, and offer some potent regeneration buffs for grenades and melee abilities. If you’re looking to push Prismatic’s potential in both PvE and PvP, then there are a few Solipsism rolls you’ll want to keep an eye out for. But before we cover those specific rolls, let’s first go over what can roll on Solipsism.
Finishers and powered melee final blows grant invisibility.
Spirit Of The Star-Eater
While your Super is charged, Orbs of Power will increase the damage of your next Super, up to +70% at x6 stacks.
All weapons gain +35 handling.
Spirit Of Verity
Grenade kills that match your Super element grant an escalating grenade damage and regeneration bonus, up to +100% damage.
Spirit Of Inmost Light
Casting an ability increases the regeneration speed of your other abilities by +400%. Stacks x2 times. Class abilities recharge 25% faster per stack instead.
Spirit Of Synthoceps
While 3+ enemies are within 15m, your melee attacks deal +165% damage and Glaives deal +100% damage.
Strand Tangles spawn two Threadlings on detonation.
Spirit Of Apotheosis
After your Super ends, your abilities recharge in 1.5 seconds for the next 8 seconds.
Gain an additional melee charge.
Spirit Of The Necrotic
Melee attacks poison the target and spread on kill. Can also spread poison from Weapons of Sorrow.
Spirit Of Starfire
While in an Empowering Rift, damage grants 2.5% grenade energy and kills grant 20%.
Spirit Of Osmiomancy
Grenades gain 3-10% ability energy when they hit targets.Coldsnap Grenadehas better tracking.
Spirit Of Vesper
Rifts unleash Arc shockwaves that damage nearby enemies. If you have a charged Arc super, the shockwaves blind targets.
Spirit Of The Filaments
Empowered Rifts grant Devour. Gain 10% class ability per kill while Devour is active.
Spirit Of Harmony
Weapon kills that match your Super element grant 1.5% additional Super energy.
The Warlock Exotic class item features eight perks in each column, two of which are from other classes. Most ofSolipsism’sperks augment your Rifts or provide them with additional functionality. Since most players don’t lean heavily on Rifts in PvE, most of these perks are somewhat lackluster when compared to dedicated armor Exotics likeGetaway ArtistorSpeaker’s Sight.
Weapons of Sorrow
Spirit of the Necrotic allows you to spread poison ailments on kill. Unlisted in the perk’s description, this works with Weapons of Sorrow as well. Compatible weapons includeThorn,Osteo Striga, andNecrochasm.
With that said, there are some combinations on Solipsism that open up Warlock’s neutral game in both PvE and PvP.Spirit Of Inmost Lightgreatly improves the ability loop ofPrismatic Warlock, which you can pair withSpirit Of Synthocepsfor a melee-centric build orSpirit Of Verityfor grenade spam. If your team already has Song of Flame covered, you can runNova Bomb: Cataclysmand dish out some absurd burst DPS withSpirit Of ApotheosisandSpirit Of The Star-Eater.
Crucible players are likely only interested in neutral game buffs here, as most of the Rift-centric perks are heavily nerfed in PvP. The main standouts here areSpirit Of The Ophidianfor a passive +35 handling buff to all weapons,Spirit Of The Filamentsfor on-demand Devour, andSpirit Of The Clawto give yourself an extra melee charge. A bonus charge might not sound exciting on paper, but this lets you easily chainLightning Surgeon any Prismatic Warlock build, especially if you decide to runArcane Needle.
Inmost Light And Synthoceps
A fairly popular build on Prismatic Warlock isLightning Surge. This ability was buffed in Episode: Heresy to grant stacks of Bolt Charge on kill, unleashing a powerful lightning blast at ten stacks. Paired with Lightning Surge’s overlapping lightning bolts, you can effectively turn your Warlock into aConsecrationTitan.
The best class item for a build like this isSpirit Of Inmost LightandSpirit Of Synthoceps. Inmost Light gives you a massive regeneration boost to your abilities that makes your non-Transcendant state much more fluid. Remember to juggle your grenade and melee abilities to ramp up your regeneration speed as much as possible.
Spirit of Synthoceps is a core staple forany melee build, and Lightning Surge is no different. This gives you a massive 165% damage buff if you’re surrounded by three or more enemies, a frequent occurrence for a melee build like this.
Inmost Light And Verity
For a more grenade-centric build on Prismatic Warlock, look no further thanSpirit Of Inmost LightandSpirit Of Verity.Spirit Of Osmiomancy’sperk onSolipsismwas nerfed shortly after Final Shape’s release, so Inmost Light is generally better in most builds. Your melee ability will drastically increase the recharge speed of your grenade, pairing nicely with the extra grenade energy you’ll earn from Devour kills–enhanced even further withFeed the Void.
If you aren’t a fan of Inmost Light, you can try Spirit of Osmiomancy for a less micro-intensive playstyle.
Verity grants major buffs to your grenade damage and regeneration speed as you land grenade final blows. At maximum charge, Verity outright doubles your grenade damage and recharge speed. Paired with Inmost Light’s regeneration buffs, you’ll be able to spam grenades with little issue. And if your abilities ever lose charges, activate Transcendence to keep the ability engine running.
Apotheosis And Star-Eater
Spirit Of ApotheosisandSpirit Of The Star-Eateris the strongest class item combination for Super DPS rotations in endgame PvE content. Star-Eater grants up to a 70% damage bonus if you can grab six Orbs of Power after your Super is charged. This works with every Super except Song of Flame.
Once your Super ends, Apotheosis will give you a bottomless supply of ability energy for the next eight seconds. you’re able to weave grenade and melee abilities into your weapon rotation, pairing nicely with guns using Demolitionist or Elemental Honing. Paired withNova Bomb: Cataclysmas your Super, you can easily matchThundercrashTitans andCelestial NighthawkHunters for burst DPS against bosses.
Ophidian And Claw
If you’re a Warlock who frequents the Crucible, you might want to consider farming forSpirit Of The OphidianandSpirit Of The Claw. Ophidian’s in-game description is somewhat misleading. Instead of buffing your ready speed, this perk actually gives you a passive +35 handling buff to your weapons. This is a great neutral game buff that nearly every player can appreciate.
If you want a more aggressive build, you can trade Spirit of Ophidian forSpirit Of The Filaments. You can now get Devour by casting your Empowering Rift, allowing you to heal after every kill without proccingFeed the Void.
Solipsism’ssecond column doesn’t have many good PvP options. If you want a decent general pick, you can’t go wrong with Spirit of Claw. This gives you an additional melee charge, allowing you to run two stacks ofIncinerator Snapor four stacks ofArcane Needle. Pair that withLightning Surgefor an aggressive build in 6v6 playlists.
