Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalonis filled with decisions that can shape the direction of your quests, often in ways that aren’t immediately clear. With so many choices available, it can be tough to predict which ones will influence the final outcome or affect the rewards you receive. This uncertainty can make decision-making feel more complicated.
Among the multiple quests in the game that have choices is the Playing with Fire quest that you can take on in Act 2. This quest will require you to decide the fate of an inventor regarding his problems with the guard of the town.
How To Start Playing With Fire Quest
After you reach Cuanacht, make your way to Firket’s Housewhich is locatedjust north of Craftsmen’s Row. As soon as you approach it, you will be able to seesome guards at the door of the houseand this will trigger a cutscene.
After the cutscene, the Playing with Fire quest begins whereyou will need to speak with Firket,so go inside the house to find him.
During the conversation, you will learn that Firket is doing some experiments and it resulted in some explosions, which is why the guards were trying to stop him.
After you’re done talking with Firket, you need to go to Denholmand report to him what you learned.
During the conversation, you will also need to make a decision on who to side with and who to trust, which ultimately decides the fate of Firket and will complete the quest.
Should You Side With Firkel Or Denholm?
Choice #1: Side With Denholm And Kill Firket
If you pick ‘Firket is dangerous and should be isolated. Or killed.’ then you will basicallyside with Denholm to get rid of Firket and his experiments.
You just have to go to poor Firket and inform him about the news of his demise.
As an additional reward, you canloot his house for any available items that you can use.
Choice #2: Spare Firket
If you go with ‘Firket never intended to hurt anyone. He’s a talented inventor. He could be useful to you.’ this is a better solution than killing him and somehow makes both parties happy.
After you let Firket know about it, he will be glad andwill be sent to a different locationwhere he canmake all the experiments he needson his own without harming anyone.
As an additional reward for you,he will offer you the house for free, which you can use as a resting place for yourself.
Choice #3: Side With Firket
The last choice will require you to pick ‘The fault lies with your soldiers. They took everything from him without asking, so they didn’t know what was dangerous.’ which is basically siding with Firket and blaming Denholm for what happened.
This will allow Firket toremain in his house and do his own thing without being bothered.
As an additional reward, you will geta discount on his shop.
