The Fantasy Finds DLC forTwo Point Museumlets you send intrepid adventurers to the land of Scorched Earth, where dragons terrorize the countryside. The first part of the storyline takes you through the basics of deploying Fantasy Experts and crafting potions, culminating with a showdown against a red dragon.

When you face the dragon, though, the game will throw a curveball at you; the beast’s fiery rampage threatens the nearby villages of Wishfell and Fairydale, where you visited on earlier expeditions, and you can only save one. Which should you choose? Is there a right answer?

a dragon tail potion is selected in the workshop in two point museum.

How To Fight The Dragon In Two Point Museum

When you start exploring the Scorched Earth expedition map, you’ll see the Dragon north of your starting location. However, you may’t face it until you’veconcocted a Dragon Tail Potion. Follow the map objectives to build up your party ofFantasy Experts, and you’ll eventually be rewarded with the recipe.

Once you have the recipe, any Fantasy Expert with the Potion Master qualificationcan craft a Dragon Tail Potion at your museum’s Workshop. The potion is designed specifically tonegate the Dragon Tailattack, but you’re able to brew as many as you like; using one on an expedition gives a small bonus to the party’s total Strength and Dexterity.See our guide on Fantasy Statsfor more information.

a dilemma appears during the first dragon encounter in two point museum’s fantasy finds dlc, forcing the player to choose which village to save and which to sacrifice.

The Dragon Tail Potion isrequired cargofor the expedition to face the Dragon; even if your team has stats high enough to avoid the Dragon Tail on their own, you may’t start the fight without equipping it.

The Dragon is a dangerous foe; all the events on this expedition willsend a character MIAif they aren’t negated. That means that if you don’t have high enough Fantasy Stats to counter every single one of the Dragon’s attacks, you’reguaranteed to lose one of your Experts at random.ensure your team is up to the task!

Choosing Wishfell Or Fairydale

When you undertake the expedition to fight the Dragon, you’ll get a Dilemma about midway through; the expedition won’t complete until you make a choice tosave either Wishfell or Fairydale. The village that you don’t save will beremoved from the mapand replaced by a destroyed version, with more dangerous events and different rewards for exploring.

The Destroyed Village yields the Tall Tale Tail, a unique exhibit; after that, each visit will yield a copy of War Turf. Both fall under theCanon Foddersubcategory.

The destroyed village’s original rewards willno longer be available. You’ll be able to find them in later Points of Interest, but they’ll take a while to unlock and aremuch more dangerous. Therefore, it’s best tosave the village that you want to continue sending expeditions into.

Which Is The Better Choice?

Fairydale offers theTeanie KettleandThree-Handed Greatswordexhibits, while Wishfell has theBolt Buckle BootsandHalvenhaf Tapestry. The Greatsword and Tapestry are fairly basic exhibits, though the Tapestrycomes in multiple parts, so if you decide to let Wishfell burn you should attempt to complete it before doing so. The big question, then, is whether you want to keep access to the Kettle or the Boots.

The Teanie Kettleoccasionally grants guests' wishes, increasing their Happiness in a randomly-selected category. It’s useful, but not essential. You need to be careful, though, because like most Enchanted exhibits, if the Kettle goes too long without maintenance and its Grubbiness gets too high, the genie inside gets grumpy andinflicts debuffs on guests instead.

The Bolt Buckle Bootscan be equipped to a staff memberto greatly increase their movement speed in the museum, at the cost of them needing to rest more often. Equipped to a Fantasy Expert, the Boots willalso increase their Dexterity by five. However, like all Mythical Gear, the Bolt Buckle Bootsdo not provide any Buzzwhile a staff member is wearing them.

None of the exhibits from Wishfell or Fairydale are unique, so you can stock up on multiple copies before fighting the Dragon.

Of the two,the Bolt Buckle Boots are the more useful, as they’ll make it much easier to progress through the rest of Scorched Earth. Dexterity is important for a lot of Points of Interest, so you want to have access to Boots in case your existing sets get stolen. For that reason,we recommend saving Wishfell, and letting Fairydale fall to the Dragon.

Once you make your choice either way, you’ll get the Scorched Earth Achievement/Trophy, one of the three new awards added in Fantasy Finds.

Where To Get The Exhibits From The Destroyed Village

As stated above, you can still get the exhibits that were previously available in the destroyed village, once you’ve unlocked later areas of Scorched Earth. You don’t have to worry about your collection being incomplete - here’s where to look for the “lost” exhibits:
