A lot of the quests that you will undertake during your time playingTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalonwill require you to make multiple choices in order to decide how you want to complete the quest and how it will affect the people related to it. This will naturally change the outcome of the quest and probably any follow-up quests depending on your choice.

And not always will you know that you made the right choice, and ultimately, there isn’t a good or bad choice. It’s only the choice on how you see fit or how you want, as most likely it will affect things in one way or another. Among the numerous quests that will require you to decide and make a choice about someone’s fate is the Weight of Honor, and this guide will walk you through all of the quest and the possible choices.

How To Start The Weight Of Honor Quest

At the end of the Old Bones, New Fire quest, where you give Asgall his potion, no matter what choice you end up making,he will mention a trusted subordinate who once went missing.

This is where he needs yourhelp in finding Gertand figuring out if something bad happened to him. If you agree to help him find the answers he needs, this will start the Weight of Honor quest.

So in order to find any clues about Gert, you will be directed to the Abandoned Village, where in the center you will be able to find Gert.

Sadly, you will findthe man has caught the Red Death diseaseand has been hiding in the Abandoned Village so no one would ever find him this way.

Here, you will have a few options in which to decide Gert’s fate and complete the quest.

Should You Kill Gert?

Choice 1: Kill Gert

You can either pick ‘You know I can’t let you live. You can spread this disease.’ This choice will force your hand into keeping the other people safe andkilling Gert so he won’t spread the disease.

Even when you say that, he will still beg you not to kill him as he doesn’t want to die, andyou’ll get another chance to decide his fate.

If you are still determined to kill him, just pick the first option and then kill him.

After you complete that, you can head back to Asgall andspeak to him,and here you have another choice.

Choice 2: Spare Gert

The second option requires you to pick ‘If you promise never to go near people again, I’ll let you live.’ When you do that, you will get Gert’s Insignia.

This will actas a ‘proof’ that he diedand no one has to worry about him again.

With that, you can head back to Asgalland report to him the situation and just like the first possible outcome of the quest, you will get two choices to either lie or tell the truth to him.
