Crystal of Atlanhas many different ways to play, and there are actually double thenumber of classesthat it appears to have at first glance, since every class can split into two different subclasses. The primary class will teach you the basic mechanics of the class, while the subclasses go in-depth with more specific mechanics.
The Musketeer is a range-focused class with both some good area-of-effect (AoE) and single-target abilities, and can lean in either direction at will. It can chain together a ton of attacks back-to-back to deal a constant barrage of damage, and can use creative rotations to juggle enemies with ease.
Musketeer Class Basics
The Musketeer isgreat atconstantly being on the attack. Many of their attacks deal a few chunks of damage in a row as opposed to a big chunk of damage, though that can change with some of the later abilities.
Many of the Musketeer’s abilities, particularly the early-game ones, either hit enemies in a certain radius or in a certain direction. Practice quite literally pointing yourself in the right direction to get the most out of each ability.
How To Play A Bounty Hunter
Bounty Hunters are aquick subclass that can get in and out for their damage, and are capable of adjusting themselves to make due with most situations. Some of their damage can come from close range, some of it can come from long range, and all of it can come out at a regular click.
Because the Gunslinger deals Physical Damage, you’ll want to focus on gear that improves your Agility and your Strength.

Flame Burst
Flame Burst is going tocreate a pool of damage on the ground, and if well-placed, it can be a major problem for enemies, whether they’re in a group or solo.
Slide Attack
This might not be the heaviest damage move, but it is agreat movement utilitythat can send you through a group. (You can also pick up Swiftness and Quick Steps to improve the utility of Slide Attack.)
Flurry Shots
This is agreat way to gather enemies into a groupif they’re a little bit scattered, and you’re able to combo into a tight AoE attack from here.
Rain Down Fire
This allows you todeal a constant barrage of ranged damage while on the move. This is a very flexible move, and can be used when you’re trying to avoid getting up close.
Pros And Cons Of The Bounty Hunter
Bounty Huntersare extremely mobile, and it’s still very easy to keep up on damage while you’re dashing around and through the fight.
The only downside is thatthey don’t have a ton of survivability. The movement can do a lot in this department, and you’ll need to get good at the movement, because your abilities themselves are going to do little in the survival department.
How To Play A Gunner
The Gunner ismuch more of a heavy-hitter compared to the Bounty Hunter; that’s not to say their overall damage output is significantly higher, just that when a Gunner does land a blow, it’s an individually meaningful one.
Like the Bounty Hunter, the Gunner deals primarily Physical Damage. They’re hitting less often, meaning you’re running your critical strike odds less regularly, so Strength is a bit more important than Agility here. But, there’s still an argument to be made to include Agility, too; those big damage numbers could be a lot bigger if they were critically hitting.
How To Switch Gunner Attack Modes
The Gunner has access tothree default attack modes: Melee, Railgun, and Grenade. Different skills switch you into different modes, and your skill rotation is going to be very dependent on what attack mode you need to be in at what time.
Best Early Skills For A Gunner
The Gunner hasaccess to some heavy-hitting skills, but you’ll need to keep in mind what attack mode you’ll be in after using them to ensure you don’t put yourself in a bad position.
This is every bit as great here as it is for the Bounty Hunter. Flame Burstcreates an area of damage, and if well-placed, can be extremely helpful.
High Explosive Landmine
Thislays three landmines in an arc in front of you, damaging enemies in an AoE.
Spiral Cut
Thisgathers enemies in a radius around you, damaging and launching all of them into the air. You don’t need to be too precise with this ability, as it grabs anybody near you.
Anion Cannon
This is a ranged attack that you may charge,with it dealing more damage the longer you charge it. If you have range and some time, this can be a devastating ability.
Pros And Cons Of Playing A Gunner
The Gunner is on the opposite side of the spectrum from the Bounty Hunter; theGunner is going to plant their feet firmly, and hurt anyone standing in front of them. They aren’t entirely immobile, and they do have access to some of those mobility skills, but they are not going to be flying around like a Bounty Hunter.
This means they’re going to behigh-risk, high-reward. Planting your feet at the wrong time can end with you taking a heavy hit that you may’t live through. But taking that shot at the right time can deal outrageous damage to your enemy.
