2024 might have been the Year of Shadow, but it turns outSegawas saving some of its Shadow-themed surprises for 2025. A plush modeled after the brooding hedgehog’s rather unfortunate-looking ice cream bar has been revealed, and pre-orders are now open ahead of its release later this year.
Sonic and Shadow both have their own ice cream bars that make the characters look so unique that their designs have become memes. Particularly Sonic’s with the blue blur’s ice cream head being used in place of Sonic’s real one for various reasons. Sonic’s ice cream was given the plush treatment a while ago, and now Shadow has followed suit with one of his own.
While Shadow’s ice cream look hasn’t been memed quite as much as Sonic’s, his ice cream bar design is just as amusing, and Sega knows it. That’s why it has gone all out when replicating the frozen treat in plush form. Everything, down to the red gumball eyes that follow you around the room, whether you want them to or not, is part of the design.

The only thing that’s not ice cream-accurate is the size. At 18 inches tall, the plush version of the Shadow ice cream bar is significantly bigger than the real thing. It also means there’s no avoiding it if you do pick one up. Unless you want to answer a lot of questions about why it exists and why you have one, I’d recommend keeping the plush somewhere in your house that visitors don’t frequent.
I’d personally keep it out of rooms that people sleep in, too. Forgetting it’s there and waking up to see those gumball eyes staring back at you at three in the morning would make for quite the experience.
The plush even comes packaged in a wrapper reminiscent of its ice cream bar equivalent, and best of all, it smells of dark chocolate. I’m not sure how long that scent will last, or how close it will be to the real thing, but if all goes to plan, you should be hit with a waft of chocolate when you burst open that plush packaging.
