Summary

After months of rumours and leaks,Xboxhas finally confirmed thatSenua’s Saga: Hellblade 2is coming to PS5 “this Summer”, and it’ll even be enhanced onPlayStation.

Over the past year and a bit, Microsoft and Xbox havebeen making it very clear that they’re entering a new era for the console. While most of Xbox’s lifetime has been spent trying to be one of the biggest first-party publishers, that’s completely changed and it’snow acting as more of a third-party publisher than anything else.

Since last year, we’ve seen a ton of formerly exclusive Xbox games come to Nintendo and PlayStation, including smaller titles Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, Pentimentand even someXbox mainstays like Forza Horizon 5and, in thenext few months, Gears of War. It seems the ports aren’t even close to being done, though, as another big game has just been confirmed to be getting the same treatment.

Hellblade 2 Has Finally Been Confirmed To Be Coming To PlayStation

It’ll Even Be “Enhanced” From The Original

That game is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which has been rumoured to be coming to PlayStation for nearly a whole year now. It seems those reports were true, asNinja Theory has just released a trailer confirming that a port is coming to PS5 at some point “this Summer”, and will seemingly even be the best way to play.

Ninja Theory’s trailer confirms that Hellblade 2’s PS5 release is considered an “Enhanced” version of the game that will come with some “exciting new features”. Those features weren’t detailed in the reveal video, but it is interesting that Ninja Theory has decided to revisit and improve the gameconsidering its mixed reviews.

While it’s true that those features will also be coming to the PC and Xbox versions of Hellblade 2 on the same day via a free update, anyone on PS5 who hasn’t played Hellblade 2 before is going to be getting (hopefully) the best version of the game from the offset. That’s something that Xbox fans and developers have been worried about for a bit, so it’ll be interesting to see how they take the Enhanced port.
