Death Stranding 2has been a next-level hit forKojima Productions, and if you’re reaching the end of your journey with Sam Porter Bridges but can’t bear to say goodbye, there’s now something else to look forward to. A brand new Sam Bridges Nendoroid based on the protagonist’s new look in the Death Stranding sequel.
Nendoroid creators Good Smile revealed Sam is getting a new Nendoroid by sharing a prototype image of the figure on social media, although barring a few finer details, it looks like it’s almost ready to go if you ask me. Nendoroid Sam has various items clipped to his person, the BT-tracking Odarek device peeking over his shoulder, and a package in hand as he looks ready to head out on his next delivery.
Good Smile shows off its upcoming Death Stranding 2 Sam Porter Bridges Nendoroid
That’s not the best thing about this Nendoroid, though. The best part about the upcoming Death Stranding 2 figure is the tiny Dollman clipped to Sam’s belt. No Death Stranding 2 spoilers here, of course, but even those who haven’t started the sequel yet will know that one of the best things about the new Kojima game is the puppet that accompanies Sam on his epic new adventure.
The Nendoroid’s Dollman accessory appears to be one of the elements of the figure that remains unfinished, or at least I hope that’s the case. The face has been left blank, and even though it’s clearly Dollman, I hope that’s something Good Smile works on between this reveal and the Nendoroid being available to buy. Good Smile’s attention to detail when it comes to this sort of thing is almost always pretty great, so it seems unlikely that’s the finished Dollman we’re seeing in the image above.
Sam already has a Nendoroid, which was released following the launch of the originalDeath Stranding. This update Death Stranding 2 figure is quite a bit different, though, as you can see in the comparison image above. Sam is kitted out in a new suit, a black portable pod instead of an orange one, a fancier-looking package (the one in his hand, get your minds out of the gutter), and, of course, now he has Dollman.
The finer details of Sam’s Death Stranding 2 Nendoroid haven’t been shared, nor is it up for pre-order quite yet. It will likely come with a lot of accessories, though, just like the first one. If you’re looking for something to add to your Nendoroid collection right now, both of Hollow Knight’s figures have been re-released, presumably becauseSilksongis right around the corner, right?
