Riot Games has confirmed thatRiftboundwill be releasing in English on October 31 in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle-East, Latin America and Oceania.
The game is set to release on August 1 in China, where it will remain exclusive for two months before an international release. There is no release date set for countries outside the above regions, such as Asia-Pacific nations besides China, like Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and so on.
“For players outside of the launch regions in English, we’re exploring additional regional rollouts, languages, and expanding Riftbound’s availability in APAC next year,” reads Riot’s press release.
Pre-Orders Will Be Available On August 4
There will be limited pre-orders available on Riot’s Merch Store on August 4. Given the current excitement surrounding Riftbound, the first print run will almost certainly be a target for scalpers and bots, meaning pre-orders will likely be very competitive.
Riot will be launching a store locator on the same date, so prospective players can find out if their local game store will be stocking Riftbound at release. Once again, local game stores tend to be susceptible to scalping, so this is something to keep in mind for players planning to buy Riftbound: Origins at release.
In response toplayer concerns over scalping, Riot has included a message about re-prints: “We’re humbled by the overwhelming interest and support in Riftbound from the League of Legends community and TCG players. Accessibility to the long-term health of the game environment is very important to us, and we’ll be working towards increasing supply to ensure that players have reasonable access to the product. We will continue to monitor and assess the overall market demand over time for Riftbound: Origins and are prepared to take additional actions as needed.”
Release events on or around October 31 are also planned, and a special Riftbound x Worlds bundle is planned to celebrate the 2025 League of Legends World Championship, which is taking place from mid-October to early November in China.
