While most of that’s good, there are some annoying things it brings over as well, such as goalies who think they’re Messi andplayers who think they’re the only ones who can have the ball.
That number one player syndrome means that a lot of matches have other playersspamming you to pass the ball over when you’ve only just got it. That can be a pain when you’re hearing “SQUARE IT” over and over again, but there’s actually a way to make that much less aggravating.

Over on the Rematch subreddit,a lot of the posts right now are making fun of how most of the playerbase is acting during matches. Beyond reminding everyone that it’s a team game and you’re not the only player on the pitch, one post fromRedditor Deeedy accurately recreates how it feels when you’ve had the ballfor 0.5 seconds.
The popular post poking fun of all the players begging for the ball to be passed so they can be man of the match has quickly made the rounds on the subreddit. It’s not just a laugh, though, as one comment actually has some very helpful advice for any players who are finding it more annoying than funny.
Redditor anaughtybeagle took the chance to point out that you can actually get rid of the annoying pass requestvoice lines by going into Rematch’s settings. While in the audio settings, you can turn down the “Ball call volumes” setting to whatever you like, getting rid of all the spammy requests.
I’ve played Rematch for 15 hours now and had no idea this option existed, so it’s a bit of a godsend for me.
Don’t worry too much about being a bad teammate, though, as you’ll still see the flash and text when others request the ball. It just reduces some of the annoyance of constantly having to hear the same three voice lines from players who think they’re top dog.
