A little more than a month has passed since theNintendo Switch 2, along withMario Kart World, were both released, and nowDonkey Kong Bananzawill be the next major title to hit the Switch 2when it launches next week on July 17.
With the release date rapidly approaching, it appears that early copies have made it into the wild. So far it doesn’t look like any spoilers have been posted, though it’s worth wondering how much of a Donkey Kong game there would be to spoil. Still, that hasn’t stopped those with incredible luck from trying to cash in on the lack of Switch 2-exclusive games.
The Buy-Now Price Of Donkey Kong Bananza Is, Well, Bananas
As first shared on the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit, someone managed to get their hands on Bananza early, showcasing the game’s cover art, back cover art and spine. That’s well and good, but the person with the copy in their hands is also trying to sell it.
Over on eBay,the game is being sold for — wait for it — $109.99, and apparently, according to the listing, eight copies have already been sold.
If the price itself isn’t bananas, it’s being shipped with FedEx two-day delivery, but given the fact that the courier is currently closed, the earliest it can be shipped is Monday, meaning it won’t get to you until Wednesday, assuming all goes to plan, and the game comes out the next day on Thursday. In other words, $109.99 for, hopefully, 24 hours of early access.
It’s all majorly mind-boggling, to say the least. Perhaps it’s probably best if you save your hard-earned bananas for another day and just wait it out.
