Prophecy has received a loot refresh inDestiny 2’sRite of the Nine event. Four of the dungeon’s weapons have been reprised with a new suite of perks and a second origin trait. Out of the three dungeon reprisals, Prophecy’s loot pool arguably received the best update of the bunch.

All four weapons from this dungeon are at least viable in harder content, some of which feature unique rolls you may’t find elsewhere. From a Shotgun tailored for melee builds to a multi-elemental Pulse Rifle, these are the best Prophecy weapon rolls you’ll want to chase before the Rite of the Nine event ends.

Destiny 2 A Sudden Death

A Sudden Death

While most of the Rite of the Nine reprisals have been sidegrades to current meta picks, A Sudden Death is truly an upgrade over most One-Two Punch Shotguns in PvE. This is because of its ability to getOne-Two PunchandTrench Barrel simultaneously, the first Shotgun to get this perk combination. Punching an enemy will greatly buff your next three shots, and your Shotgun blasts will empower your next melee attack. It’s a fantastic option for virtually every melee build.

Crucible players tend to run Precision Shotguns due to their oval-shaped spread pattern, but Aggressive Frames can perform well in PvP with some practice. This archetype is typically held back by its low base handling, which you can thankfully address withThreat DetectorandClosing Time. You can get close to 100 handling with this combination without sacrificing your range stat, making this one of Destiny 2’s most consistent 55 RPM Shotguns.

Destiny 2 Judgment

Judgment

Judgment has some stiff competition in both PvE and PvP. Unfortunately, there isn’t much going for this weapon. PvE players can lean intoStasis keywordswithHeadstoneand Rimestealer, although we suggest going for a damage perk in the second trait column instead—Timed PayloadorPrecision Instrumentbeing our recommendations. Timed Payload won’t auto-shatter Stasis crystals from Headstone, but it’s invaluable for staggering tougher enemies.

The competition is even fiercer inside the Crucible. Compared to the likes of Rose and Exalted Truth, Judgment doesn’t come anywhere close to meta status. However, if you’re just getting into PvP and need a decent Primary,Lone WolfwithTimed Payloadis a decent option for 1v1 duels. Just don’t expect this weapon to stack up to current PvP giants.

Destiny 2 Relentless

Prosecutor

Auto Rifles are surprisingly strong in both PvE and PvP content, provided you can keep your reticle on the target’s head. Prosecutor is one of a select few ARs that can getOnslaughtin the second column, and S-tier DPS trait that greatly ramps up the gun’s fire rate with each kill. At three stacks, Prosecutor turns into a 720 RPM Auto Rifle with the damage profile of a 450 RPM Auto

You can pair this withDragonflyfor some high-damage explosions on precision kills orAttrition Orbsfor some added utility. Onslaught will make proccing Attrition Orbs fairly easy, which you can then use to activate Armor Charge mods, orb mods on your boots, or Explosive Light on your Heavy weapon. It’s a solid workhorse weapon if you can get Onslaught going.

While not a dominant archetype in PvP, Prosecutor can still hang in today’s sandbox without much issue.Target Lockis fantastic on Precision Frame Autos, as it reduces the TTK to a reliable 0.67 seconds if you can keep your reticle on target. To make that easier, you can pair Target Lock withZen Momentto ignore incoming flinch orKeep Away for a general stat buff. Avoid fighting enemies up close, and you’ll find tons of success with the Prosecutor.

Dragonfly OR Attrition Orbs

Zen Moment OR Keep Away

Relentless

Relentless is a 340 RPM Pulse Rifle with a decent suite of perks to choose from. The main standout here isFireflyin the first column, releasing a violent Solar explosion upon landing a precision kill. This gun deals Strand damage, so you technically deal two different damage types with this gun if you get a precision kill, useful if you’re using Paracasual Affinity or need to buildTranscendence energy on Prismatic.

Damage perks on this weapon are somewhat lacking, with the strongest option beingDesperado. Firefly will greatly improve your reload speed after a precision kill, which will then proc Desperado’s fire rate bonus for the next seven seconds. Land another precision kill, reload, and repeat. If you don’t like fire rate buffs, you can use Paracasual Affinity instead.

It’s no Messenger or Elsie’s Rifle, but Relentless can hold its own inside the Crucible.Lone Wolfis a great option on this archetype due to its ADS handling scalar and aim assist bonus, two stats that High-Impact Frames desperately need. you may pair this withHeadseekerfor even more consistency orDesperadofor a TTK reduction upon landing a precision kill.
