Summary
Project Century just got another trailer atSummer Game Fest, giving us a traileranda real title. Now, the working title is no more, as RGG Studio’s upcoming game is officially called Stranger Than Heaven.
It’s hard to say whether or not this trailer sheds some light on some of the mysteries of the reveal, or just gives us new ones. Whilethe original reveal was set in 1915, this time, we’re taken to 1943.What that means for the narative remains to be seen, but it certainly looks like we’ll be exploring multiple time periods.
Stranger Than Heaven Re-Reveal Trailer Unveiled At Summer Game Fest
Goodbye, Project Century. Hell, Stranger Than Heaven.
The trailer opens peacefully enough, as our protagonist walks around the 1940s setting. However, we then get a look at the gameplay, with a whole lot of combat. It looks like we’ll have some choices thrown our way too, as we can see that we have the option to show an enemy mercy or take them out brutally.
Other than that, we’ll just have to sit back and wait for the next trailer before we can really tell what’s going on. Hell, that might not even shed any light, as that could just chuck us into another time period. With that in mind, there’s a chance that it will only click into place once we have the game in our hands, and we don’t know when that will be.
While many games got a release date, or at least a release window, at Summer Game Fest, Stranger Than Heaven was not one of them. With that said, there was quite a bit to show off here, so we might not have to wait too much longer to see when we’ll be able to play this ourselves.
Stranger Than Heaven is yet another release coming from the ever-busy RGG Studios. The team is best known for the Like a Dragon series, which seems to always have a game ready to launch at any given moment. The big one this year has been Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which launched in February. Before that, there was Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth the year prior, and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name the year before that.
