Summary
In the seven months since its release,Pokemon Trading Card Game Pockethas added hundreds of different cards. Multiple expansions have been released, each containing unique Pokemon, and multiple events have featured time-limited cards that are no longer available.
With trading in TCG Pocket limiting the ability to swappromos, some players have missed out on a handful of cards. This has, naturally, led to debate online as to which of the game’s many cards is owned by the lowest number of people, and there are a few good calls.
Lapras, Mewtwo, And Pikachu All Slated As Some Of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Rarest Cards
Over the last 24 hours, twodiscussionshave begun on the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocketsubredditdebating the rarest cards in the digital TCG.
While gold cards have the toughest pull rates, around one in every 1,250 packs (I’m yet to get one in 1,100 packs, so my time is soon /s), these were discounted as players have had an infinite opportunity to pull them. Instead, all of the focus was on the game’s early promos.
The discussion began with players lamenting how rare an earlyLapras ex promowas only available as a one-in-five chance during a two-week event early in the game’s life cycle. The event likely took place before players weretotallyinvested in the game, so many missed out.
This then led players to debate theChanseyandMeowthpromos that were live as part of TCG Pocket’s first event, the Wonder Pick Event Part 1. This event was also early in the game, meaning players were likely to have missed it.
The final two cards that came up for debate were paid promos. Firstly, thePikachu cardthat was included in the game’s first Premium Pass was mentioned a few times. However, many people used their free one-month trial here, so it’s probably in more people’s card dex than not. The other was the shinyMewtwo ex promothat was included as part of a paid $20 bundle, something thata large percentage of TCG Pocket players refused to pay for.
