Mega Evolutionsare coming back toPokemon TCG, and we just got another teaser for this run in a new trailer. The trailer gives us a look at what we’ll be getting in the Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution expansion, and it opens up the possibility of getting some Pokemon that have never gotten their own cards before.
We already have one new Pokemon reveal:Mega Latias ex,which we reported on earlier today. This was included in the recently dropped English reveal trailer for the set, alongside the return ofMega Venusaurand two supporter cards,LillieandWally. With much more info to be revealed next month, it opens up the possibility of other new Pokemon joining the game.

Mega Evolutions are back for the first time in almost ten years
“Earlier this year, the upcoming Pokemon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution Series was announced, with the enchanting Mega Gardevoir ex and the dynamic Mega Lucario ex revealed,” reads ablog poston the new reveals. “Today, a new trailer was unveiled showcasing even more exciting cards coming in the series’ first expansion, Mega Evolution.”
It goes on to give us some details about the all-new Mega Latias ex card: “This Legendary Pokemon is all about speed, darting from the Active Spot to the Bench with its Strafe attack. This Pokemon not only floats like a Butterfree, but it also stings like a Beedrill.”
The trailer also confirms that there’s more information in store for us on July 10, and with this new Mega Evolution already confirmed, it has opened the door for other never-before-printed Pokemon to be added, such as Mega Abomasnow.
With this in mind - and the fact that these areour first new Mega Evolution cards since 2016- we can expecta lot of demand for the set, which means it will be a field day for scalpers. The resellers market is tough enough as it is, and the promise of Mega Evolution releases, including ‘Mon that have never been printed before, will attract those looking to profit from excited fans.
Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolutions will launch on September 26. The products in the set will be revealed on July 10.
