Summary

Pokemonis slowly turning all of its creations into various collectibles, allowing trainers to catch ‘em all, or at least to catch their favorites, in as many ways as possible. It has been doing that withFunko Popssince 2018, and later this week, three Pokemon that have never been Funko Pops before will be given the Funko treatment.

The first images of the next Pokemon being turned into Funko Pops have been shared on Twitter byFunko Pop News. Next up for Pokemon Funko Pop duty areSlowpoke, Ceruledge, and Turtwig. As is often the case with new Funko Pops, the figures are expected to be available to buy as soon as this Wednesday. There’s currently no suggestion that any of them will be exclusive to certain storefronts, so hopefully the trio will be available anywhere you usually buy your Pokemon Pops.

They also all appear to be regular Pops, meaning they will follow in the footsteps of the Pokemon Funko debuts that released earlier this year andadded Dratini, Fidough, and Gardevoir to the collection. They’re all regular-sized figures and are based on their respective Pokemon, the only difference being that their designs have been tweaked to fit the Funko aesthetic.

That might seem like an obvious thing to point out, but it’s worth noting afterthe Funko Pop-ification of Gengarearlier this year didn’t go down well with Pokemon fans.

Who Are Those Pokemon?

They’re Ceruledge, Slowpoke, And Turtwig!

Ceruledge’s Pops has its blades at the ready, Slowpoke’s figure perfectly captures the Kanto ‘mon’s dopey demeanour, and Turtwig will be a welcome addition for any of you trying to collect Pop versions of every starter Pokemon. I believe that brings that particular total to 12 out of a core 27 as Turtwig joins the likes of Sprigatito, Scorbunny, and, of course, the Gen 1 starter options who were among the first Pokemon to be transformed into Funko Pops.

Not only can you try to catch ‘em all as Funko Pops with three more figures coming this week, but last month Pokemon branched off into the still very new world of Bitty Pops too. Bitty Pops are smaller Funko Pops that come in packs of four, andthere are already 16 Pokemon ones to collect. Each four-pack has a different Kanto partner Pokemon as its headliner, and so far only Pokemon from the original 151 have become Bitty Pops.
