Summary
Pokemonhas a lot of plush lines to choose from, but none are more adorable than its still very new Sweet Support plushes. The problem is, the range is still so new that until now, there have only been four designs to choose from. That has now changed as the new additions to the collection mean you now have twice as many plush pairs available.
Each Sweet Support plush features two Pokemon - a regular Pokemon paired with one of its pre-evolved or baby forms.Pikachu was a part of the initial Sweet Support drop, for example, and it’s attached to a little fluffy Pichu via a drawstring. When you pull the Pokemon apart, they slowly make their way back into a hugging position as the connected pullstring retracts.
Each of the smaller Pokemon in the pairs is upset, hence them needing to be hugged, and hence them being so adorable. There were four plushes in the original Sweet Support plush reveal, and thenan additional four designs doubled the collection’s sizewhen they were shown off for the first time earlier this year.
Pokemon’s Four Newest Sweet Support Plush Pairs Are Finally Available In The US
Look At Them, How Can Anyone Possibly Resist?
However, those four new designs were exclusive to Japan until now, and as always, there’s no way of telling whether a Japan-exclusive Pokemon release will ever find its way to the US, more so now than ever with the tariffs. Thankfully, tariffs haven’t stopped the new Sweet Support plushes from making their way stateside.
The new pairs includeCubone & Marowak, Sentret & Furret, Cleffa & Clefairy, and Altaria & Swablu. All of them have the same base design as the Pichu & Pikachu plush pair detailed above, including the additional fluffiness compared to most other Pokemon plushes, and all of them are available now at the Pokemon Center.
They’re all the same price as the original four Sweet Support plushes, too, which is also a reveal due to the aforementioned ongoing tariff unpredictability. They’re $29.99 eachand don’t appear to be a limited edition product. They probably won’t be restocked indefinitely and forever, of course, but if you don’t want to buy one right now, they’re almost certainly not going to be pulled right away.
