TheNintendo Switch 2has been hard to come by during its first six weeks on the market, but it looks like we’re about to get an influx of new stock thanks to a newly revealed bundle.Pokemon Legends: Z-ASwitch 2 bundles have been announced, and you might be able to place a pre-order for one as soon as tomorrow, July 23.
Although there was a Pokemon Presents today, a significant chunk of which wasdedicated to new details about Legends: Z-A, the Switch 2 bundle’s reveal was saved for after the show. Presumably, an attempt to catch those who liked what they saw and had taken to social media immediately afterward.
Even though those of you in the UK will be able to pre-order the bundle from participating retailers starting tomorrow, the situation for Pokemon fans still on the hunt for a Switch 2 in the US is a little less clear.The Pokemon bundle has been added to Nintendo’s website, but it is simply listed as “coming soon”. There’s no mention of how soon, and if it will also be available to pre-order tomorrow, as is the case in the UK.

The perfect alternative for those who don’t really care about Mario Kart
The listing confirmsthe Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle will cost $499.99, the same as theMario Kart Worldbundle that’s been available since the console launched. Interesting as Legends: Z-A is not an $80 game like Mario Kart World. However, since it still costs $450 to buy a Switch 2 without a game, the bundle will still get you the console and the game for less than if you were to buy the two items separately.
What’s also unclear is when exactly these bundles will ship.Pokemon Legends: Z-A launches on July 31, 2025.That might mean if you get your Switch 2 this way, you’re resigning yourself to not having a Switch 2 until October. However, since the game will be a code and not a physical copy, it will hopefully be a case of the bundle being sent right away, and the code simply not activating until Legends: Z-A release day.
If that’s the case, you canuse your Switch 2 to play Pokemon Friendsin the meantime. Also revealed today, Friends, which is available on mobile and Switch, tasks you with completing mini games to unlock yarn that can then be turned into plushes. You can play it right now, but you have to pay for it, and then separately for its DLC, on Switch, and it’s only free to start on mobile.
Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 is the successor to Nintendo Switch, scheduled for release on July 06, 2025. Confirmed as backwards compatible, it will play both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games.
