Pokemon Legends Z-Ajust gave Zygarde the Mike Wazowski treatment byjustabout removing the much-missed LegendaryPokemonfrom the cover art of the game.

From what we’ve seen of Pokemon Legends Z-A so far since it was initially revealed, it looks like it’s going to have quite the lineup of fan-favourites, fromobvious picks that everyone loves like Chikorita and Totodile, to my personal favourite Espurr. Even with all of those standout picks, the most interesting ‘mon on the roster is, without a doubt, Zygarde.

Zygarde (and its various forms) was originally introduced in Pokemon X and Y, andhasn’t been seen in the series since Ultra Sun and Moon nearly a whole decade ago. It’s been a long time since Zygarde has had the spotlight, but that’s finally changed with Legends Z-A,which finally brings the popular Legendary Pokemon back. Just don’t expect it to star front and centre.

Poor Zygarde Has Just Missed Out Of Being On Pokemon Legends Z-A’s Cover Art

Look, We Even Cropped It Out Of Our Image

Yesterday, The Pokemon Companyannounced out of nowhere that Pokemon Legends Z-A is going to be releasing on October 16. That reveal was not only met with the confirmation of a Pokemon Presents in July (presumably focused on Legends), but also the first showing of Z-A’s gorgeous cover art.

That cover art is interesting for a number of reasons, and it only gets better once you see the full version of the art that features even more Pokemon. One of the Pokemon who can be spotted on the extended cover art is Zygarde (well, a Zygarde Core anyway), who can be seen in the bottom right corner, just shy of being next to the protagonists.

Considering how long it’s been since Zygarde was in a mainline Pokemon game, fans have been quick to point out how funny it is that they’ve been left out of the cover art for Legends Z-A.Twitter user Lewchube pointed out that there was “something funny"about Zygarde getting its own game after nearly a decade and still getting cropped out.

Meanwhile,Twitter user M0BICAL pointed out that Zygarde has been given the Mike Wazowski treatmentby just about getting cropped out of the main event. While that’s not quite the case since he’s not been covered up by a sticker, it’s still funny to see a beloved Pokemon everyone’s wanted to see return literally get sidelined.
