It’s impressive thatPokemoncontinues to come up with new and unique ways to turn its creations into plushes. We already haveSquishmallows, Sitting Cuties, and life-size soft toys to choose from. Now, The Pokemon Company has revealed a new range where every single plush is just Ditto disguised as a different Pokemon.
Ditto might look like little more than a pile of pink jelly with a face crudely drawn on it, but it’s kind of one of the most powerful Pokemon in existence if placed in the right scenario. That’s because its jelly-like nature means it can use Transform to mimic the appearance and the moveset of any of its rivals.
There’s a tell when that Pokemon is a Ditto in disguise, though, and it’s the face. The one part of Ditto’s appearance that can’t change is its face. That means even after it has transformed, its beady eyes and single line mouth remain. That’s the inspiration behind Pokemon’s new plushes.Lapras, Jigglypuff, and Meware among the Pokemon to be included in the collection, but technically, they’re all just disguised Ditto.

The Versatile Pokemon Has Posed For 21 Different Plushes
The plushes are very similar to prior designs forall 21 of the Pokemon included, except for that one key difference - the face. All of the plush’s faces have been replaced with Ditto’s face, making them equal parts creepy and adorable. There’s a good spread of different types and picks from various regions included, although as always, a significant chunk of this first drop are Pokemon from the original 151.
There’s also more good news for fans of Eevee and all of its evolved forms. The base Pokemon and its eight Eeveelutions are all a part of the 21 plushes as The Pokemon Company continues to celebrate the Year of Eevee. The Ditto plushes vary in size a little, but all of them fall somewherebetween five and a little more than eight inches tall. They’re also all the same price -$19.99 each.
It’s not clear if this is going to be a plush range Pokemon continues to add to in the future so that, eventually, hundreds of Pokemon with simple Ditto faces will be plushes. That probably depends on how well this first crop of 21 sells. It’s unlikely every Pokemon ever will get a Ditto plush. There’s only one plush collection that guarantees a toy for every Pokemon, and that’s the Sitting Cuties. Pokemon has been adding to its Sitting Cuties collection one generation at a time,recently revealing how every Pokemon from Alola will look.

Pokemon has launched a line of plushes that features Ditto disguised as different Pokemon. Much like Ditto, the plushes have the same appearance as the Pokemon it’s trying to mimic other than the face, the one part of Ditto’s appearance that it is unable to change no matter how hard it might try.
