Thanks toPeakselling another million copies since its last sales milestone, the developers over at Landcrab have confirmed that they’re considering possible future updates.
2025 has been absolutely packed with massive triple-A games, fromDoom: The Dark AgestoDeath Stranding 2. As great as they are, though, the real big surprises and successes have actually seemed to come from indie games, which we saw at the start of the year with Schedule 1.
Over the past few weeks, another surprise contender for biggest indie game of the year emerged out of nowhere - Peak. As the sales numbers have made very clear, Peak’s chaotic and messy climbing mechanics have propelled it into stardom, and it seems that its success is only just beginning.
Peak Could Be Getting Updates In The Near Future
Nowhere Near Its Peak
A few days ago, the developers over at Landcrab announced thatPeak has now sold over two million copiesin just nine days.As pointed out by Eurogamer, this new milestone has resulted in the team sharing a post on the game’sSteampage that suggests Peak could be getting more content in the future.
The statement thanks players for all of their “love and support” for the game so far, while saying that the best possible way for Landcrab to show its appreciation is to confirm that it’s ‘looking into possible updates". Before you get too excited about that, though, there are some things to keep in mind.
As great as updates sound, the thing I want most from Peak is a console release. Can’t let PC players have all of the fun now, can we?
While Landcrab is looking into what could be added to Peak in the future, the devs note that talks are in the “very early stages” right now. It seems that the updates will likely be listening to community feedback and then adding things based on that, although the team confirms that it’s focusing on bug fixes and stability right now.
If you do want more specifics on what could be coming to Peak, Landcrab’s response says that updates could range from “quality of life features to new content”. That’s still pretty vague, but at least we know that updates are being considered for the future.
