Warframe’slatest update has brought with it a new event. Operation: Eight Claw. The Indifference has found its way into the hellscape of Duviri, usurping Dominus Thrax as its ruler. Understandably, the emotional ruler is quite distraught over the takeover and demands justice. Help them retake Duviri, and you’ll be rewarded with exclusive cosmetics and useful Warframe Arcanes.
This event serves as a fantastic way for lapsed players to catch up on their Arcane collection, as Eight Claw has the cheapest Arcane shop we’ve seen from a Warframe event thus far. This guide will cover how this new operation works, how to participate, and showcase all the rewards you can purchase from Dominus Thrax.
What Is Operation: Eight Claw?
Operation: Eight Claw is a Duviri-themed event that runs fromJune 25 to July 16.The Indifference has found its way into Duviri, and it poses a threat so great that Dominus Thrax is asking for your help. Enter Duviri once more, contain the Indifference threat within, and reap the spoils of your efforts.
In gameplay terms, there is atemporary Duviri node called Isleweaver that will pit your squad against the Indifference and the new Oraxia Warframe. If you’re able to beat this mission, you’ll be awarded Pathos Clamps, Scuttler Husks that may be exchanged for Oraxia parts, and Dominus Aureus coins to purchase event-exclusive rewards.
Isleweaver Mission
Isleweaver is aWarframe-only variant of The Duviri Experience.Your team must complete six world objectives before defeating the Murmur, the same boss fight from the Effervo node on Deimos. Most of the open world objectives you remember from Duvirireturn here, although you’ll be fighting Indifference this time instead of Thrax’s soldiers. It’s worth noting thatthe fifth objective willalwaysbe a fight against Oraxia.
Outside the faction swap, this is your typical Duviri Experience run without any restrictions to Warframe access. Complete the objective, pick your decrees, and face the Murmur boss. You’ll receive Scuttler Husks from Oraxia, Pathos Clamps for killing the final boss, and Dominus Aureus coins for the event shop.Steel Path clears award more resources.
Oraxia Fight
The fifth encounter of each Isleweaver run will be against Oraxia herself, a spider-themed Warframe with a three-phase encounter. This boss tends to stick to walls and cover the ground in damage-over-time webs.Stay on the move and aim glide whenever possible to avoid most of her attacks. She doesn’t get many new mechanics in each phase, so once you get used to avoiding her web attacks, the fight shouldn’t pose much of an issue.
Place a waypoint on Oraxia. This makes it much easier to track her movements throughout the fight.
Between each phase, Oraxia will flood the arena with hanging spiders.Destroying them will spawn a spider enemy immediately afterwards. If you may’t instantly kill the spider, it’ll project an energy dome that makes it highly impervious to incoming damage. These are effectively nullified bubbles. If caught inside, you will be debuffed with Magnetic and have all abilities dispelled; keep your distance.
Outside of the transition phases, Oraxia is a fairly straightforward fight.Damage her whenever she latches onto a wall, and avoid the ground as much as possible. If you’re struggling to beat this encounter, consider bringing theVazarin Focus Schoolto tank some of her attacks with Guardian Shell. The instant revives are also invaluable for public groups.
How To Get Dominus Aureus
Dominus Aureus is the event currency for Operation: Eight Claw, awarded upon completing the Isleweaver playlist on any difficulty.Normal runs award 18-22 Dominis Aureus, Steel Path awards 22-26. Token quantities are unaffected by boosters.
All Dominus Aureus should be given toDominus Thrax within the Zariman’s Dormizone.you may access this hub area from the bottom-right of the Duviri UI or the Zariman map on your Star Chart. Thrax will set up shop in the bedroom adjacent to Acrithis. Speak with them to exchange your tokens for event rewards. You may also access the Scuttler Husk shop if you’re looking to grab any of Oraxia’s components.
Oraxia’s Offerings
Oraxia’s components may also be purchased from Acrithis. Her components and related weapons arenottied to the event, so they’ll be purchasable indefinitely. Dominus Aureus offerings are the only offerings that will disappear once Operation: Eight Claw ends.
Operation: Eight Claw Rewards
As with most events in Warframe, the merchant for this event awardsWarframe Arcanes, sigils, certain weapon blueprints, and exclusive cosmetic goods—for this event, that would be theInvictus Signas. These signa cosmetics will become purchasable as the community defeats the Murmur throughout the event. You should be able to purchase all three of them towards the end of the event, around early July.
It’s worth noting that Digital Extremes changed how Arcane Enhancement purchases work for this event. You may only purchasethree copiesof each Arcane throughout the event.Legendary Arcanes are the exception, allowing for seven purchases.
However, each set you purchase contains multiple copies of an Arcane—Legendary Arcanes award three copies each; everything else awards seven copies per purchase. This results in a much less arduous grind than past events, even if you can’t get more than one full copy of each Arcane.
