Summary

Oblivion Remasteredonly makes a few changes to how the original game plays, as itaims to be incredibly faithful. However, someone at developer Virtuos had some fun with the console commands, because there’s one new feature there that someone found when playing around.

As spotted by TikTok user TerraGuild, there’s a command that players can access on PC that is a reference to the famous Potion Seller video from 2011. The command is titled “Altar.Player.PotionSellerGiveMeYourStrongestPotions”, which is a line taken directly from the video.

The Potion Seller Will Trust You With His Strongest Potion In Oblivion Remastered

TerraGuilt found this command by playing around with the console commands you can access on PC, and true enough, you can access this in the game. We tested it out, and as you can see in the TikTok, the “potion” gives you the ability to launch NPCs in the air with a single punch. The effect is instantaneous, so you don’t have to actually drink a potion, but it’s nice to see that the potion seller is trusting us after all these years.

To access console commands, just press the “~” button on your keyboard while you play. This should open the console command text box, which you’re able to use to input various changes to how the game plays. We havea guide on the available console commands you can use. Just note that doing this will disable achievements, unless you have downloadedthe modthat keeps them enabled.

Alas, this is only available on PC, so console players will just have to punch NPCs the old-fashioned way. Oblivion Remastered alsodoesn’t have official mod support, so console players shouldn’t expect to get access to mods either, as we did withSkyrimandFallout 4.
