TechYouTuberJerryRigEverything has torn apart theNintendo Switch 2and deemed that it’s “basically invincible”, which should curb some worries about it breaking easily.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve beentreating your Switch 2 like it’s made of glasssince it released last week. While the console feels far more sturdy than the original Switch, it’s still an expensive piece of kit that’sfairly difficult to find in most retailers, so handling it with care for the foreseeable seems like the best thing to do.

It looks like you might not need to worry too much about the Nintendo Switch 2’s durability, though. One of the biggest tech YouTubers out there, JerryRigEverything, has recently gotten his hands (and pliers) on the consoleto tear it down and get a look at the inside, which lead to him giving it’s foundations some might praise.

Looks Like The Switch 2 Is Plenty Durable, As It Can Take An Absolute Beating From Pliers

Just… Don’t Give It A Try, Okay?

As we reported yesterday, JerryRigEverything’s video has him taking a closer look at the Switch 2 andeven ignoring Nintendo’s advice by removing the film layer. While that choice only went and proved Nintendo right about its big warnings, the rest of the video shines a light on how strong the Switch 2 really is (thanks Dexerto).

Throughout the video,JerryRigEverything is shown having a decent amount of trouble tearing down the Switch 2, suggesting that it’s been put together very carefully. To make matters even more concrete on the Switch 2’s survivability, JerryRigEverything even took a pair of pliers to the handheld’s screen once it was fully broken down.

While the naked state of the Switch 2 is a little hard to watch as someone who doesn’t even like dust getting on his, the end result is pretty reassuring. It took JerryRigEverything more than 50 hits with his pliers to finally break the screen, which suggests that it’s very powerful and isn’t easily going to be taken apart.

Sadly, it seems like Joy-Con drift is still very much a thing, even with the Switch 2 being a sturdier beast.

In fact, JerryRigEverything even ended up calling the Switch 2 “basically invincible” during his video, which is some high praise for someone who does these kinds of tear downs often. While I definitely don’t recommend throwing your Switch around and hitting it with pliers, it looks like it’ll be able to survive a couple of butterfinger moments.
