Many of you reading this will know the pain of missing out on aNintendo Switch 2pre-order all too well. There’s not much else we can do other than watch those who were lucky enough to bag one start playing on June 5 while we wait for more stock. Unless you’re talented enough to make your own substitute Switch 2 out of paper, that is.

There have been various ways to secure Switch 2 pre-orders depending on where you are in the world. In Japan, it seems the majority ofNintendofans have had to rely on being selected via Nintendo’s lottery system. If your name is drawn, you’re given the chance to place your pre-order. I’m no origami expert, but based on looks, I’m assuming the sticks were the trickiest part to get right - here’s hoping they don’t suffer from some sort of papercraft Joy-Con drift.

The paper Joy-Con look like they slot perfectly into the papercraft console, and you may even see the parts on the inside of the controllers that will connect them to the screen. Last but most certainly not least is the Switch 2’s infamous C button. Remember when we didn’t know anything about the Switch 2 andwe endlessly discussed what that button might do?In ten days, we’ll actually be able to press it.
