Michael Hollick, the voice ofNiko BellicinGrand Theft Auto 4, finally signed up to Cameo last week, a website where strangers pay famous people to film personalised videos saying (within reason) whatever they want. Normally, it’s to get a celebrity to wish you happy birthday, or to commemorate an anniversary, but then you get the Vöröstwins telling a woman that her husband is divorcing her.
Cameo can get a bit weird, to say the least. But right now, things appear surprisingly wholesome for Hollick. He has one review on his page so far from Luke McNair, who declared that he is the “Best. Cameo. EVER!!!”. In the attached video, Hollick dons the voice of The Lion King’s Scar and thanks Luke for coming to see the play, calling him a dedicated “super fan”.
However, withhis Cameo page just hitting the GTA 4 subreddit, it won’t be long before he gets asked to slip back into the voice of Niko. Maybe Hollick should’ve stayed on the boat, eh?
Hollick Is Happy To Do The Niko Voice In His Cameos
Some actors can be a little bitter about reprising their roles for Cameo, like GTA 5 star Steven Ogg, who went on a tangent about how it’s “literally impossible for me to be a cartoon” and that he’s “not Trevor”. Hugo, who paid $140 for the video, was a bit disappointed with the “two minutes” Ogg spent “berating” him. Thankfully, Hollick is much more open about playing his own GTA protagonist.
It’s worth noting thatOgg recently denied rumours that he hates Trevor.
“I avoided social media for a long time, but you fans are relentless, so here I am,” he joked. “Look, if you want something hilarious, memorable, heartfelt, or maybe just a message from your cousin - you want to go bowling? - whatever you want, let’s do it.”
Even in that introductory video, he put on the voice of Niko, celebrating his most iconic role and inviting such requests.
If you’re interested, Hollick charges $95 (or £70) for a Cameo video, and around $10 (or £7) if you want to send him a message. He’s booked out at the moment, butyou can follow his profile herefor updates on his availability.
