Noxmare

Noxmare is one of theHatchmon-type Weapons, and it’s capable of inflicting not onlyamazing damage-over-timedue to the stacks of Poison it puts on enemies, but thePoison also detonates once it reaches nine stacks, doing massive damage.

While itdoesn’t get a direct bonus fromHatchmon or Eggslike some other Hatchmon-type Weapons, it does enable yourHatchmon’s attacks to stack Poisononto enemies, so even afew Hatchmon can max out Poison on an enemy and detonate iton their own.

Noxmare comes with its own special Hatchmon, so you’re guaranteed to have at least one helping you out, and you can guarantee two more with the Adorable Support Fate Cardactivated.

Even with a low Hatchmon count, the Noxmare canput out some impressive DPS numbers, as there’sno cooldown or Poison resistanceon enemies or bosses, and even if you have to spend time dodging, thePoison stackswill continuewhittling down enemies' health.

9th Color

The 9th Color is aCrystal-type weapon, andevery nine projectilesyou shoot, you’ll getone of several different empowered attacks instead, such as apowerful rainbow beam or homing projectiles.

With its quicker fire rate, you canget to the empowered attacks fairly quicklyon the 9th Color, and it doesdecent damage on its own, so youwon’t feel like your DPS has completely disappearedin between the empowered attacks.

Your attacks also getfurther empowered any time you consume Crystals, whether you’re using a Curio or opening a chest, so you may easilyprep yourself for the bossor a challenge room as long as youleave something that needs Crystals around.

It alsoallows Crystals to be picked up even if you’re full, so if you’re lucky, you may have anempowered 9th Color frequently, and tear chunks out of bosses' health with each attack, making it afantastic choice for any situation.

Raptor

Not only does Raptor have adecent fire rate, making itgreat for clearing roomseasily, but itsunique ability releases homing missiles after several shots, meaning even the more annoyingenemies and bosses can be taken out quickly.

Themore Bombs you have, themore homing missilesRaptor lets loose, andgetting a ton of Bombs can be easier than some other resourcesthanks to some of theunlockable perks in the Evolve menu, so you’ll often be able to have a ton of extra firepower.

Raptor also pairs well with characters who start off with bombs, such asNik and James, giving you an early boost to its abilityif you find it early or get it from the Fire Support Fate Card.

If youunlock the Teary-eyed Fate Card, you can also prevent yourself from taking damage when changing Faiths, so you can continuously get the Tenebrism Faithand load yourself up with Wisps.

Topspin

Topspin is one of themost powerful Weaponsin the game, not just at its most basic, butespecially so when you have a ton of Hatchmonwith you.

Each time youhit the tennis balls it generates, theirvelocity, size, and damage all get increased, and it can alsobounce off Hatchmon to get that same buff.

Even justthree or four Hatchmoncan turneach tennis ball projectile into a damage-dealing monster, and once you’ve got theAgapeism Faith unlockedand can go to the Temple of Agapeism, as well as theAdorable Support Fate Card, having anarmy of Hatchmon is easy to acquire for this Weapon.

Thanks to thesmall rooms and plenty of walls, yourprojectiles will ricochetoff them, hitting bosses and enemies dozens of times in a few seconds, and giving themmore opportunities to bounce off your Hatchmonsor foryou to hit themback. With Topspin, you candemolish bosses easily and consistentlywith comparatively little investment.

Icelume

Icelume is one of manyCrystal-type Weapons, andevery few hitsto an enemy, it automaticallyfires a powerful frost laserat them. Whenever youconsume Crystals, instead of giving it an empowered projectile, itspawns Frost Cores, which willmimic your attacks.

These Frost Cores mean you canhave multiple frost lasers doing damage at once. Against regular enemies, it chews through even the toughest ones' health, and it’s even morecapable of decimating bosses, as their arenas are alwayswide-open areas that give your lasers a clear line of fire.

One of these Frost Cores is good, but each time youincrease your Crystal Containers, you’ll getanother Frost Coreavailable, andseveral Artifacts increase Crystal Containers, and they all stack.

Each Artifact Room gives you a chancefor one of them alone, so you can end up with averitable army of themif you’re lucky, and even if you aren’t, asingle Core with you is going to be big DPS.

Taomu

Taomu is amelee and Jump-type Weapon, and even its most basic effect is useful: itgives you an extra jump, allowing you tododge attacks better and reach high platforms.

An extra jump isn’t all it does, though. WhenTaomu’s attack is fully charged, it releases aburst of homing talismanstowards enemies and bosses, whichdo massive damage, and when thetalismans disappear, they alsoleave behind flames that do even more DPS.

You cancharge the attack while moving, allowing you torelease a powerful attack while focusing on dodging, and the homing quality means it won’t miss unless the enemy goes invulnerable or teleports suddenly.

Combined with theJump Marks from its extra jumpand anyothers you’ll generate from itemsthat also give extra jumps, evenmore talismans will be released, and itsplain swings do good damagetoo.

Ghostprint

Ghostprint is aKey-type Weapon, and its unique ability is that forevery Key you have, you’ll gain a clonethat willcopy your movements and attacks, meaning yourDPS can be doubled, tripled, or more.

It doesgreat damage on its own, especially with itsnatural bonus of doing extra damage for consecutive hits, but having eventwo or three Keysmeans you’ll havetwo or three clones following you, and they dojust as much damage as you do to enemies and bosses.

While yourKey acquisition is often decided by luck, Ghostprint is still anexcellent weapon to usein the Abyss.

you’re able to alwaysguarantee you start with one by running a particular characteron top of it, and you canuse perks and Faiths to your advantage, like theTemple of Consumerism, which frequently has Keys for sale.

RITUAL

RITUAL is aHatchmon-type Weapon, and itbenefits most from having Hatchmonalong with you. Itprovides its own unique Hatchmon, and when attacking, yourthird attack is empowered, doing a lot ofextra damage and marking enemies.

Marked enemieswill automatically betargeted by special bone spikes it generates around every Hatchmonwith you, so not only do you haveextremely fast and powerful attackswith RITUAL itself, buteach Hatchmon will generate rings of six to eight spikes to tossat enemies for big damage.

RITUAL also has aslightly longer rangethan other melee weaponsthanks to its third strike, and you cancombo it with the Temple of Agapeism, which lets youhatch five Hatchmon each visitand lets you spend coins for eggs, ensuring you have abunch of adorable, spike-throwing DPS machineswith you.

Celody

While Celody’stype of firing can take some getting used to, this Crystal-Type weapon isincredibly unique and powerful. Thelonger you hold fire, the morestars it generates and connects, and it gives you anextra jump, too.

These connected stars can domassive contact damageto enemies that hit their rotating field, and jumping temporarily expands the field, turning it into apowerful melee-range Weapon.

You cancharge it up and run into enemiesto kill them, taking advantage of howmost of them don’t do contact damagethemselves, and any item that gives you more jumps increases both its damage and the number of stars it generates.

Besides its melee-range capabilities,Celody’s star formations can also be firedoff, both in thefull configuration or in smaller groups, making itequally useful when attacking from afar, especially since it has infinite range.

Celody caneffortlessly swap between melee range and long range, with its melee-range attack working better in regular and Challenge rooms, and then itsranged shot allowing you to do high damage to bossesin their open arenas, making it strong, versatile, and fun to play with.
