Following the surprise reveal of an originalSwitchport ofDragon Ball: Sparking Zeroat today’sNintendoPartner Showcase, everybody thinks that it’s going to be a nightmare to run.

For a while now,it’s been rumoured that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero would eventually be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 port. Although the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC versions of the game look incredible and have a ton going on, that didn’t seem like it’d betoo much of a task for the more powerful successor to the original Switch.

Those rumours were confirmed today at Nintendo’s Partner Showcase, which gave us our first look at Sparking Zero on the Switch 2. Beyond the shock of it already having a release date, the announcement also surprised us all byconfirming that the game is also coming to the original Nintendo Switch on the same day.

Sparking Zero’s Switch port already looks like it’s going to struggle

“They prob used Shenron to make it run on the Switch”

Considering how infamously the Switch has handled more demanding games in the past (looking at you, Mortal Kombat 1), this news was very surprising to hear. That being said, when you look at the footage of Sparking Zero running in action on the Switch,it’s pretty clear where the corners were cut.

It seems that a lot of Sparking Zero players are already starting to get worried about how the game is going to run on the original Switch.Nearly all of the comments underneath the announcement trailer are pointing out how wildit is that Sparking Zero is coming to the Switch, and that it’s likely going to really push the Switch to its limits.

Them trying to run this on the freaking OG Switch is 100 percent the reason why support has been so incredibly lackluster.

Over on the Sparking Zero subreddit, most players seem to agree that the port is going to be a big step down from the other versions of the game, with some evenblaming all the work that’s needed on it as the reason why we’ve not had much post-launch support. And, of course, there are a bunch of jokes about theSwitch turning into Majin Vegeta when it tries to run Sparking Zero.

While the early looks we’ve had at the port don’t seem to betootroubling, there are some fans who are actually pretty confident in it,with one Reddit thread pointing out how well FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 ran on the Switch. Sparking Zero does seem like a different beast, though, so it’ll definitely be interesting to see how it shapes up when it launches.
