Despite itsrecord-breaking launch,Monster Hunter Wildshasn’t seen the same success as World. As things currently stand, the poor performance, lack of content, and overall easier gameplay have seen its recentSteam reviewsdrop to Overwhelmingly Negative, with just about 12 percent of them being positive. A whopping98 percent of the playerbase has abandoned the game.
Despite adding new seasonal content and performance-fixing updates, the game hasn’t quite seen the revival that Capcom would have hoped for. However, in bid to bring players back, the devs have added a lot more for the upcomingFestival of Accord: Flamefete Summer Seasonal Event, which starts today. Along with new armour sets, limited bounties, and unique items, Gemma the blacksmith gets a new bikini costume.
Monster Hunter Wilds Gives Gemma A Bikini For Its Latest Event
Perhaps taking a page out of The First Descendant and Stellar Blade, Capcom might be looking to bring players back by appealing to their thirst for the resident blacksmith. While the costume is named Summer Coveralls, a quick look at it will reveal that it does the exact opposite. Looks like Gemma doesn’t need protective gear while working next to a blazing forge all day.
However, this outfit, along with Alma’s Summer Poncho and Erik’s Summer Hat will only be available over the duration of the event, which ends on August 5. If you want to keep them post that, you’ll have to pay for them.
As part of the Flamefete Summer Seasonal Event, the Grand Hub will be transformed into a fiery party. The Diva will sing a new song, while you’ll be able to feast on seasonal meals that will grant you unique buffs. Of course, Gemma and Alma aren’t the only ones with new outfits, as you’ll be able to craft special equipment for the occasion.
It looks highly unlikely that this event will turn things around for Monster Hunter Wilds, as the main complaint on Steam is still about the game’s terrible performance. In fact,Capcom recently cancelled a lecture at this year’s CEDEC, titled “Making Monster Hunter Wilds run smoothly.”
