It’s been almost 16 years sinceMinecraftlaunched, and the block-built game is still going. With theJack Black movie performing very well at the box officeandLego finally releasing a larger Minecraft set, it doesn’t look like its popularity is going to wane anytime soon. With that in mind, Mojang is set to launch Minecraft’s biggest visual overhaul tomorrow.

The Vibrant Visuals update will rework the game’s lighting system, shadows, fog, and other elements to make the game look even better. Sure, it’s still going to be a blocky world, but those blocks are going to look better than ever. While Mojang has shown some stunning results and most of the community is pumped for it, it seems there are some who prefer the current look and are worried about the problems the update might bring.

Not Everyone Is A Fan Of Minecraft’s Vibrant Visuals Update

The massive visual update drops tomorrow, but Mojang released a video to talk about all the improvements and new features that will come with the Vibrant Visuals update. It undoubtedly looks stunning, but some players were worried about what it could mean for the Bedrock Edition, while others just prefer the way it currently looks.

“I feel like it is a good add but there might be a huge drop in fps from my experience,” saidRlrankdleon Reddit. “As you said, as long as it doesn’t affect my game in some horrible way, then I see no problem to it! Would hate for Mojang to mess this up,” added another. The update will add this upscaled visual mode as an optional feature, so you’re able to always turn it off.

“Honestly, they look great. I like shaders but most of them never felt ‘Minecrafty’ enough. Vibrant Visuals fit into vanilla very well, not to mention it looks good,” said one fan, looking forward to the update.

“Overall, I like the idea a lot but from the first time they showed it off I had some minor complaints that it seems weren’t changed at all unfortunately”, added another “I hope there’s at least some customization to it whether in game or through resource packs.”
