Mindseyewent from a potential Cyberpunk 2077/GTA love letter to a complete disaster real fast earlier this week. Suspicions were already raised after developer Build A Rocket Boy didn’t send out review copies before launch, and fans quickly discovered that the reason for that wasbecause Mindseye is a gigantic mess, described as “unplayable” by some.
Just hours after launch, fans were sharing videos of floating cars, horribly mutated civilians, and irritating stuttering issues, which all culminated in an overall Steam user review rating of Mostly Negative. It’s difficult to see any game this year having a worse launch than MindsEye, and now that the cat is out of the bag, the developer is seemingly in damage control mode.
MindsEye Is Seemingly Canceling Sponsored Streams Following “Disaster” Launch

Efforts have already been made on the social media side, with the MindsEye Twitter account promising a series of updates to improve performance, but it could already be too late.
