Metaphor: ReFantazio Is Joining Xbox Game Pass Seven Months After It Launched

RPG Fans Are Absolutely Feasting

Earlier today,Xbox Wire shared a new blog post detailing all of the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the next few weeksas part of the second wave of May. The biggest of these is Atlus’Metaphor Re:Fantazio(which is coming on May 29), which not only launched less than a year ago, but isalso considered one of the best RPGs in recent memory.

Metaphor was so good, in fact, that it wasactually one of the final Game of the Year nominations at The Game Awards last year. Those are some pretty big accolades (although not unexpected from the makers ofPersona), which makes it a big surprise to see it joining Xbox Game Pass already.

That being said, Atlus and Xbox did seem to have a marketing agreement for Metaphor before it launched, one that most agreed wasn’t as strong as it could have been.

Outside of Metaphor, it’s still a very strong wave of Xbox Game Pass releases.Tales of Kenzera: Zau(another TGA nominee) will be available from May 22, whileThe Division 2will be joining the catalogue on May 27. Those are the headliners, but there’s a ton of other interesting games that you can find out all about over on the Xbox Wire.
