Summary

Marvel Rivalsis a pretty complex (and also pretty buggy) game that changes almost constantly, which means new techs are being found on an almost weekly basis, whether it be flying Wolverine, or something as recent asWanda’s ult being hidden in fog. You’ll see fans come up with some pretty wild strategies fairly often, but a newly discovered tech for Doctor Strange and Loki might be one of the most devious yet.

We all knowhow much chaos a Doctor Strange portal can cause, andhow creatively they can be used, and they’re once again being utilized to perform a feat that is so utterly broken that it could possibly be something that NetEase will need to fix in the future.

Marvel Rivals PSA: Doctor Strange And Loki Exploit Can Make Teams Briefly Invincible

This exploit was first shared on the Marvel Rivals subreddit by a user called Linepr0, and features two players working together, one playing as Doctor Strange and the other as Loki. It starts out with Doctor Strange teleporting onto the point, which is pretty standard fair, but Loki doesn’t actually follow the rest of the team.

It’s difficult to make out what he’s actually doing since it’s so quick, but the Loki player is placing a clone through the portal, activating his immortality runes, and then switching to another character. He then switches back to Loki, completely refreshing the cooldown for his immortality runes, and repeats the entire process, before finally jumping through before the portal timer ends.

By switching to another support and then back to Loki, this essentially gives him three uses of his instant healing ability (which usually has a massive cooldown) in about 15 seconds, making his entire team practically invincible during that entire time frame. You can’t even shoot the rune to react, as the healing is so quick and the Loki switches so often that there’s nothing you can really do about it.

It’s difficult to imagine that this is an intentional bit of game design from NetEase, and that these Doctor Strange and Loki players are just exploiting the game. In fact, this clip even has some calling for short cooldowns on abilities after switching, which would ensure shenanigans like these never happen. I guess they call him the god of mischief for a reason.
