Last week,Nintendo revealed the actors who will lead the live-action Legend of Zelda movie. Relative unknowns Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Zelda and Link, respectively. While we still don’t know which timeline or game the movie will be based on, the age of the actors suggest it might be Ocarina of Time.
We got another actor reveal today, this time for the voice actor of Princess Peach inMario Kart World. Last month, veteran actorSamantha Kelly revealed that she will no longer be voicing Peach, and today it was revealed that Courtney Lin has taken over the iconic role. She has previously lent her voice for Monster High, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Pokemon Masters EX.
Courtney Lin Has Been Revealed As Mario Kart World’s Princess Peach
Earlier today, Lin revealed on Twitter that she voiced Peach in Mario Kart World. “I can finally say… I’m the voice of Princess Peach and Baby Peach in Mario Kart World! Eternally grateful for Nintendo for trusting me to help carry the legacy of this icon,” said the tweet. However, it’s unclear why she waited for so long to reveal it.
“These characters are so much bigger than ourselves. I am so honored and honestly can still hardly believe it. I have so much respect for all of the Peaches that came before me, especially the one I grew up with. I will do my best with every opportunity I am given, and I hope you all have been enjoying the game. Wahooo!! Sweet.”
After the legendaryCharles Martinet retired from the role of Mario in 2023, and Kelly from that of Princess Peach, the original Nintendo couple will both be voiced by new actors. As for Mario Kart World, the credits forDonkey Kong Bananza may have hinted at which characters will join the lineup eventually. The kart racer already has one of the largest rosters in the series, but it looks like Nintendo will be adding some new faces in time.
