EVO 2025 has been popping up with big moments as per usual, and fans have been hoping for hot news from today’s final stream for the year. One such slam-dunk struck just after the conclusion of theGuilty Gear StriveTop 8, as series producer Ken Miyauchi joined the stage to congratulate the winner and unveil a couple of spiffy trailers for upcoming content in Arc System Works' four-years-and-counting slugfest.

We’ve known since last July thatCyberpunk: Edgerunners' fan-favourite Lucyna Kushinada - more commonly known as Lucy - would make the jump in season four of Guilty Gear Strive. What we didn’t know waswhenshe’d do so, nor did we see much gameplay. The release date? August 21. The footage? Fantastic.

From Warsaw To Open War

The EVO crowd made enough noise to show Miyauchi just how hyped they were for Lucy’s arrival. It was anyone’s guess just how strongly she’d translate into Bandai Namco’s bestselling fighting game, and thank goodness, she’s glorious.

The trailer also details the narrative hook behind Lucy’s appearance. The cyberspace surfer’s running manual diagnostics to suss out what’s up as she attempts to locate something - or rather, someone. “Elite hacker, cyberspace surfer, the mysterious Netrunner”, Lucy clearly has no qualms whipping up a frenzy as she tears through famous Guilty Gear characters and Strive’s newcomers alike.
