Mario Kartis always relevant, but right now it’s more relevant than ever thanks toMario Kart Worldlaunching alongside theNintendo Switch 2. That makes right now a better time than ever to release some Lego Mario Kart sets, and there are even more coming our way than we originally thought this summer.

The latest Lego Mario Kart sets haven’t been officially revealed yet, but leaks at retailers have confirmed the new additions (viaThe Brick Fan). The two upcoming Mario Kart sets will add three more characters to what is already a pretty extensive line-up, especially considering the first Lego Mario Kart sets were only released six months ago.

The bigger of the two sets is 588 pieces and includes two characters - Toadette and Koopa Troopa. It also comes with two karts that can be found in various Mario Kart games, the Cat Cruiser and the Tanooki Kart. Best of all, however, is the new item that will enter the Lego Mario Kart fray via this upcoming set, the Piranha Plant. Break open the little Lego item box that comes with the set and attach the piranha plant to the front of your kart as you chase down your Lego racing rivals.

The best part is actually the attachments that fire red and green shells. Those aren’t new, though, as they’re on other Mario Kart sets, but still highlighting as they’re great.

The second, smaller Mario Kart set adds Shy Guy to the mix. The kart comes with the same shells and also a banana skin to leave behind it, but best of all, you can attach a matching P-Wing glider. Both of the sets will be available to buy directly from Lego starting on July 31, 2025. The Piranha Plant Power-Up set will cost $49.99, and the smaller Shy Guy & P-Wing set will cost $19.99.

Wario will finally be turned into Lego for the first time as he and King Boo will be a part of the same combined set, also priced at $49.99like the Toadette and Koopa Troopa set.

Another set that comes with an interactive Mariois also being released on the same day, anda Bowser’s Castle set that includes Bowser and Yoshiwill be the most expensive of the bunch at $99.99. Still not as expensive asthe $169.99 Mario Kart set released earlier this year, which remains the expensive crown jewel of the collection so far.

Mario Kart – Wario & King Boo

Lego has added to its Mario Kart collection by turning Wario into toy bricks for the first time. Wario and King Boo have joined forces for this 512-piece Mario Kart Lego set. Each character has their own kart and, like other Mario Kart sets, the karts are equipped with launchers that can fire green and red shells at their opponents.
