Summary

DisneyandLegohave been working together since the turn of the century, first on Duplo sets and then proper Lego sets from 2010 onwards. None of their collaborative efforts have come close to the almost-5,000-piece Disney Castle released in 2023, and now those who missed out the first time around have been given a second chance to add the massive set to their collection.

Not only is Lego’s Disney Castle the biggest Disney Lego set to date, butat 4,837 pieces, it is one of the biggest Lego sets ever, Disney or otherwise. Even though that piece count also makes itone of Lego’s more expensive Lego sets at $399.99, it sold out fast in 2023, and it has taken a while for the set to be restocked.

That time is now, and you can currentlypick up the Disney Castle set at both Disney and Lego. There may have been fears that the set had already been retired, especially after Lego and Disney revealeda new castle set modeled after the castle from Beauty and the Beast. The restocked Disney Castle replaced a smaller castle set, so it being replaced by a different castle wouldn’t have been an out-of-the-box decision for Lego and Disney to make.

Lego’s Massive Disney Castle Is Back

Potentially For The Last Time

While the Beauty and the Beast set is an homage to the movie it’s from, the Disney Castle is a giant Lego love letter to multiple movies, as well as the iconic castle that has been a part of Disney’s logo for decades. There are different rooms inside inspired by various movies and crammed with references for Disney fans to build and discover.

Among the rooms featured in the castle is the ballroom from Cinderella, the rose room from Beauty and the Beast, and there’s even the magic mirror from Snow White hanging on one of the room’s walls. Snow White and Cinderella are among the Minifigures that come with the set too. Four princesses from some of Disney’s biggest blockbusters, each of them with their matching princes.

Build the iconic Disney Castle with a 100th anniversary twist with this huge LEGO set. It contains almost 5,000 pieces, several minifigures, and a special celebratory time capsule.

There’s no way to tell how long the Disney Castle will remain in stock this time around, and as always with Lego, there’s also no way to know whether it will ever be back again once it sells out for a second time. If you’re itching to buy some new Lego but you don’t want to part with $400, a lot of new sets have already been revealed this month, includinga very cool Lego version of the Batmobile from Batman Forever.
