LegoandDChave been working together to createBatman-themed sets for almost 20 years, with some pretty special creations spun from their long-term partnership. However, there have been rumors for months that one of DC’s biggest and best Lego sets yet, one modeled after Arkham Asylum, is right around the corner.
Lego leaking Instagram accountbrickfunfactsis the latest to share details about the rumored Arkham Asylum set, highlighting that although this won’t be the first time the fictional prison has been turned into Lego, it will be by far the biggest if the rumors turn out to be true. Leaks claimthe upcoming set will be made up of 2,953 pieces, making it almost twice as big as any Arkham Asylum set to have come before it.
It’s been eight years since Lego last turned Arkham Asylum into real-life Lego
Time to pay the toy brick prison another visit
There have been three Lego Arkham Asylum sets released since 2006, all of them modeled after various takes on the iconic Gotham building, and all of them long since retired. With eight years having passed since the last Arkham Asylum set was released, we’ve now been waiting longer for a new one than we ever have been before, so it stands to reason that the rumors that there might be a new set in the offing are likely true.
The leaks claim thatthe set will be released on June 29, 2025, and that it will cost $299.99. A pretty expensive set, but at almost 3,000 pieces, and being an officially licensed DC creation, that part is, unfortunately, almost certainly accurate. It will also be filled with Minifigures, of course, because what would Arkham Asylum be if it wasn’t packed to the rafters with some of the most infamous and heinous villains in comic book history?
While we may not have an inkling of what the set is going to look like, a list of all 16 Minifigures has already been shared. Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Bane are all among the characters expected to run riot in Lego Arkham, with a few heroes, including Batman and Robin, thrown in for good measure. I mean, you need some good guys in there, otherwise Joker and his crew will tear the place down as soon as you’re done building it.
That now means both DC andStar Warshave huge sets on the horizon that haven’t been officially revealed, but have been so heavily rumored that we already know almost everything about them. For almost a year, there has been chatter of a new Death Star set releasing later this year. If all of that chatter comes true, then the Death Star will be one of the biggest Lego sets ever created and will cost $1,000.
