Summary

Kingdom Heartsfans have been pulled from pillar to post these past few days. What’s new, right?Mobile game Missing-Link has been canceled, and there’s still no indication of when we’ll be gettingKingdom Hearts 4. I’m here with a silver lining, though, and it takes the form of an official set of Kingdom Hearts trading cards.

Square Enixrevealedits Kingdom Hearts Art Museum cardsthis week, and there are more than 200 of them to collect.228, to be exact, pulling inspiration from throughout Kingdom Hearts history. Of the 228 cards to collect,93 of them will be what Square has described as “normal”- those will presumably be the regular everyday cards that are the easiest to find. Another93 of them will be premium cards, 18 will be Hearts rares, another 18 will be Hearts premium rares, and what appear to be the rarest cards of all are theKingdom rares, of which there will only be four.

We Might Not Be Getting A New Kingdom Hearts Game Anytime Soon

But At Least We’re Getting Kingdom Hearts Trading Cards

The mathematicians among you will have noticed that when you add all those numbers together, you arrive at 226, and there will be 228 cards to collect. They’re referred to as “special cards” on the store pages, and while images of most of the cards in the collection can be found on those pages, the art for these two special cards is being kept under wraps.

The refusal to divulge what these cards will look like has got some fans thinking their artwork has been inspired by elements from Kingdom Hearts 4. Not to give you hope somewhere there might be none to find, butthe cards have a release date of Jun 09, 2025. If the secret special cards do include characters or backdrops from the next Kingdom Hearts games, then you’d have to think Square will reveal something more about the game before fans get their hands on the cards this summer.

Potential Kingdom Hearts 4 spoilers or not, if you want to collect these cards, you can pre-order them now through Square’s Japanese store. Unfortunately, they’re not on the US site yet due to the ongoing tariff issues. You can buyindividual packs for 550 yen ($4) eachwhich contain six cards per pack, or there’sa box of 20 packs, so 120 cards, for 11,000 yen ($77).
