Summary
It’s time to revisit Bohemia, as the first story DLC forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2. In Brushes With Death, Henry will befriend an eccentric artist and explore the strange circumstances of his life. The strange and mysterious person is at the heart of this expansion, with a story that’s personal. Also, you get to paint your own shield.
The update comes along with a number of improvements and fixes that will make your journey across Bohemia a bit better. However, it seems thatpatch 1.3is also causing some visual issues. There have been several complaints on the game’s subreddit about assets flickering at a certain distance.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Brushes With Death DLC Is Causing Visual Flickering Issues
There are several videos on the subreddit showcasing the issue, and it’s definitely not ignorable, especially in cluttered cities like Kuttenberg. Simply walking down a street results in the assets of several objects flickering, and it only continues as you continue walking. Major updates always result in things breaking, but this issue is very noticeable, so it’s a wonder how it wasn’t spotted earlier.
It seems to be present across all platforms, but PC players should be able totemporarily fix it via console commands. Unfortunately, console players will have to wait for a hotfix, which Warhorse is probably working on at the moment. PLayers have also been complaining about the issues on Twitter, so the devs will surely address it soon.
“This issue is REALLY bad and they need to fix it ASAP,” said one comment on Reddit. “They could lose money because of this. Some people were waiting for the first DLC to drop before they played the game for the first time. This issue makes it look like an early beta release. This is my favorite game of all time. But if this was my first time playing it, especially knowing it had been out for a couple months already, and I’d seen this, I’d have either quit until it was fixed or asked for a refund.”
Hopefully Warhorse fixes the issue sooner rather than later, as the DLC was sure to boost the player count once again after launch.
