Killing Floor 3is one of those rare games that’s equally possible to play with friends, or entirely on your own. While it’s your prerogative as to which way you’d like to play it, and it can be completed and enjoyed either way, the intended experience is to play it with others.
It’s an easy task to group up with your friends in Killing Floor 3, and it’s easy to play with other random players, too. It is important to note that you’ll need to play through the very short tutorial in order to play multiplayer, but that should not take more than a few minutes.
How To Play With Friends
To play with friends, use thePlay Multiplayer option on the Main Menu, which will bring you to the headquarters. From there,going to your pause menu and scrolling over to Party will reveal your invite code.
How To Play In A Private Lobby
To play in aPrivate lobby, turn Matchmaking off in the Mission Terminal. This will ensure that the only players in the mission that you launch are the ones that are already in your lobby.
How To Play With Randoms
Toplay with other random players, leave the Matchmaking option onin the Mission Terminal. This will fill any empty space in the party with other random players.
How Many Players Can Play Together?
Six players can share the same lobby. The game will automatically adjust the enemy count and difficulty to scale with any player count from one to six, ensuringyou’ll always have a challenging but fair experience.
Is There Crossplay?
Killing Floor 3 does have crossplay; it will ask you if you’d like to keep crossplay on or turn it off when first launching the game, andthis option can be changed anytime by going into the Settings > Gameplay section.
You cannot toggle the crossplay settings when in a multiplayer lobby.
Which Platforms Is Killing Floor 3 Available On?
Killing Floor 3 is available onPS5, Xbox Series X/S,and onPCthrough eitherSteam or Epic. Players on any of these platforms can play together.
