There are six Specialists inKilling Floor 3, each with their own unique skills, grenades, secondary weapons, and playstyles. But one Specialist stands out from the group: the Ninja. Ninjas are a huge departure from every other class in the game, with a lot of things that are mechanically unique to them.

Because Ninjas are so unique, certain people are going to vibe with them immediately, while others struggle. If you’re having a difficult time with them or want an idea of what to work towards when it comes to making a Ninja build, we’ve taken a deep dive into the subject.

Best Ninja Skills

Every Specialisthas their own skill tree, and it’s very easy to swap back and forth between skills. But, there are a lot of them, and that means there arethousands of build combinations possible for the Ninja.

Reasoning

Kenko

Increases your maximum health, and gives you asmall amount of health regeneration for perfect parryingwith a melee weapon. The ability to heal yourself is invaluable, and lets you self-sustain by hitting a skill check.

Swift Current

Makes youimmune to damage from your own Caltrops, and increases your movement speed when running through them. This build relies heavily on melee damage, and the ability to toss Caltrops at your feet when you get surrounded is going to save your life often.

Shinobi Shozoku

Repairs a small amount of your armor when you grapple an enemy. Much like Kenko, this is going to enable you to self-sustain a bit. We’ve also got a lot of other skills below that play off of grappling enemies, so this is just one facet.

Kuji-kiri

Increases your weapon damage for a short period after you perfect parry an enemy. Just like the grapple, we’ll have multiple skills playing off of perfect parrying enemies, so you’ll want to practice getting that timing just right.

Increases yourCaltrop capacity.

Warrior of the Wind

Increases your movement speed after grappling an enemy. When in melee range, increased movement speed is going to allow you to strafe sideways to dodge attacks, while still getting your own onto an enemy.

Demon Stance

Makes you immune to environmental damage effects. When playing in melee range, certain enemies are going to cause huge issues by spreading a damaging effect on the ground. This is going to allow you to stand in that effect without issue.

Thunderclap

Increases your Caltrop radius. This is going to clear a larger space around you, giving you more options for movement when you’re trying to get clear of a group that’s surrounded you.

Red Shadow

Reduces incoming damage for a short period after grappling an enemy. Grappling takes you into melee range if you weren’t before, so this damage reduction is going to come in handy for keeping you on your feet.

Sakki-jutsu

Perfect parrying will stumble nearby enemies. Stumbling all nearby enemies will give you a short period where you aren’t being ruthlessly bludgeoned by enemy attacks, and you can use that window offensively or defensively.

Perfect parrying recharges your gadget energy.

Kyuketsuki

Increases the bleed damage that you inflict, increases your damage to bleeding enemies, and heals you for damaging bleeding enemies. We’ll be inflicting bleed constantly, which means we’ll be dealing increased damage and healing ourselves constantly. This is a very important skill for this build.

Raijin

Increases the time that Caltrops keep enemies stunned. More time stunned means less time damaging you, and it’s going to make Caltrops much more effective.

Punishing Chain

Going below half health instantly recharges all of your grapple charges. Grappling gives us so many bonus effects that going below 50 percent health is going to basically immediately allow us to buff ourselves.

These skills mostly revolve aroundplaying in melee range, perfect parrying, and grappling enemies. Rotating through these effects is going toprovide you with constant buffs, meaning you’ll almost always be at an advantage against the Zeds.

Best Ninja Weapons For This Build

For this build, the most important thing is going to begrabbing a melee weaponthat allows us toparry regularly, and inflicts bleeding damagequickly.

Best Cheap Weapon For Early Game

You likely won’t have the money for what you really want early on, and you’llneed to make due with a cheaper optionwhile you level up your armor andsave up your money.

For this, thedefault Kiba is a good choice. You start with it from the get-go, and foregoing grabbing anything else to replace it is going to allow you to buy what you really want that much quicker.

Custom Shuriken in Killing Floor 3.

If you’d really like, you can make a custom Kiba with a Serrated Edge to inflict bleeding. This will still be fairly cheap, and will allow you to make use of some of your most useful skills earlier on.

Best Weapon For Late Game

Once you’ve got the money, this is the weapon that you’re going to want touse throughout the rest of the match.

Katanas

These Katanas are going toinflict bleeding each time you hit something, but they’re also going to be good at blocking, too. You’ll need both of those in order to sustain yourself when surrounded by enemies: theblocking will help you absorb damageand be more comfortable attempting to perfect parry, whilehitting bleeding enemies is going to heal you.

But, sometimes you’ll need something at range for one reason or another. For that, we’ll need this next weapon.

Best Secondary Weapon

This weapon can afford to be cheap, because it’s something you aren’t likely going to need very often. But when you do need to swap to it,this is going to accentuate your build nicely.

Shuriken

This weapon’s utility is simple:it causes bleeding, and you may throw them out quickly. We’ll miss out on a bit amount of ammo with the Lightweight pouch, but all we need to do isgrapple into the enemy to recover all the shurikenthat we’ve stuck them with.
