you’re able to play Killing Floor 3 entirely solo, but you can play it with up to six people overall in a party, too. How you’re playing it is going to determine what skills you choose to use, and how you use them, but there is some general advice that can be helpful when choosing your first skills.

Reasoning
Insider Trading
Thisincreases your armor integrity, and reduces the cost of replenishing armor. Both options in this branch are going to save you money, but this one is always going to be helpful, as opposed to the ammo upgrade, which is only helpful if you’re eating through a ton of ammo each round.
Knockabout
Thisincreases the knockdown effect applied by your grenades. All of these skills have a place and add value to your grenades, but the ability to slow enemies down with your grenade even when you don’t kill them is going to give you time to make your next move.
Guardian Angel
Thisreduces your incoming damage while you have your Hellion active. This helps you to stay aggressive with the Hellion active, rather than needing to retreat and maybe not get as much value out of it as you otherwise would.
Best Early Skills For A Firebug
Firebugs have aneasy time applying burn to huge swaths of enemies, causing damage-over-time (DoT) and occasionally stunning them.
Firewall
Thiskeeps you from taking full damage from burning enemies. Because it’ll be so easy to make every enemy in your vicinity burn, this is going to be a substantial survivability skill.
Boom Out
Thisincreases the radius of your Molotov explosion. Because the goal with the Firebug is to light as many enemies on fire as possible, the wider radius is going to provide a lot of value.
Ready For Action
Thisreloads your weapon and increases your weapon damage for a short time after using Wildfire. This is especially useful when using weapons that have a long reload time like Flamethrowers, and lets you keep pouring on the damage.
Best Early Skills For An Engineer
Engineersmake extra use of utility, and have a wide variety of options available to them when it comes to playstyles.
Repairman
Thisrestores armor integrity when you use a tool. It’s not going to make a huge difference, but when it comes down to the wire and you’re hurting for armor, the extra armor this provides can save the day.
Grounded
Thisapplies extra knockdown to enemies. The longer you may keep enemies incapacitated, the less time they’re an active danger.
Fortify
Thisrestores armor when using Sonic Storm. If you make use of Sonic Storm as often as you can, this is going to provide quite a bit of extra armor.
Best Early Skills For A Sharpshooter
Sharpshooters aregreat at dealing a high amount of damage in a single shot, whether that’s at range or up close.
Hunter
Thisallows you to walk at full speed while aiming down sights, and reduces the spread penalty while shooting and walking. While not always true, it’s useful much of the time to be on the move, so being able to move faster and shoot more accurately while moving is a great bonus.
Chilling Effect
Thisincreases the time enemies stay frozen by your Cryo-Grenade. The longer they’re frozen, the longer you have to deal damage to them while they’re incapable of fighting back.
Bloodsucker
Thisheals you when your Arrow hits enemies. This is a great way to keep on top of your health without sacrificing damage potential.
Best Early Skills For A Ninja
Ninjasdeal damage in unconventional ways, whether it’s with melee damage or weapons capable of dealing damage in a variety of different ways.
Kenko
Thisincreases your maximum health, and heals you when you perfect parry an enemy. Once you master perfect parrying, you can heal yourself for an astronomical amount of health throughout a match.
Swift Current
Thiskeeps you from being affected by your own Caltrops, and increases your speed when moving through them. Because Ninjas are often in melee range, the ability to throw Caltrops at your own feet is going to do a lot for your survivability.
Shinobi Shozoku
Thisrepairs your armor by five each time you grapple an enemy. You can grapple regularly, and combined with your Kenko ability, you’re going to be constantly refreshing your health and armor.
Best Early Skills For A Medic
The Medic is the easiest class to understand from the start:they’re here to help keep allies alive.
Doctor’s Bag
Thisincreases the amount of Syringes that a Syringe Bag restores, and enables Syringes to slightly repair armor integrity. While the revive speed upgrade of the other option is nice, this one will keep you from needing to revive allies as often.
Waste Collector
Thiscauses your Biotic Grenades to create waste, which when picked up, will grant a Syringe. Combined with the Doctor’s Bag, you’re going to be able to constantly supply allies with extra Syringes.
Health Benefits
Thiscauses your Sanctum to restore 25 health to allies when it expires. On top of the healing-over-time is provides, this is an extra substantial heal that’s going to make quite a difference.
