There are plenty of TV shows and comics out there that have people clamouring for some kind of video game adaptation, but I don’t think any franchise fits that bill quite so much as Invincible. Ever since Amazon’s TV show started, fans of the series have been begging for Invincible’s bloody battles to be turned into a video game.

For a while now, it’s been reported that dream wouldeventually become a reality thanks to several Invincible titles that are in the works, including one thatSkybound crowdfunded to massive success last year. Well, thanks to today’s announcement at the Xbox Game Showcase, we now know that Invincible’s first-ever console game is a 3v3 tag fighter called Invincible Vs, and it looks like the perfect debut for the series.

Invincible Is Getting Its Own Tag Fighter That’s Reminiscent Of Dragon Ball FighterZ

Well, Aside From All Of The Blood And Guts

Invincible Vs is a tag fighter that’s aiming to be “tournament quality” and lets you put together your own three-person team and battle it out as some of the show and graphic novel’s characters. So far, the roster includes Invincible, Atom Eve, Bulletproof, and Thula, but it’s been confirmed that there are a lot more still to come before the game launches in 2026.

Omni-Man and Rex-Splode were both shown off in the reveal trailer, so that’s two more characters you can add to the roster.

As the reveal trailer showcased, Invincible Vs' fighting mechanics are all about fast-paced and brutal combos that fittingly tear your opponents and the destructible environments apart, with super and ultimate moves that can even decapitate enemies. Its movement and pace are very reminiscent of a much bloodier Dragon Ball FighterZ, which is absolutely a good thing.

Invincible Vs isn’t just aiming to be a tournament fighter, though, as it was also confirmed that the game will have its own single-player story mode that’s been written by the creative team behind the TV show. Outside of the story mode, there’ll also be an arcade mode, training mode, and competitive and casual online battles. It sounds like Invincible Vs is doing everything right, so here’s hoping it sticks the landing.
