The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here, asInvincible VShas finally given us our first look at how Omni-Man plays, as well as confirming for sure that he’s voiced by J.K. Simmons.
As I’m sure all of my fellow fighting game fans are well aware of, this weekend is EVO 2025,which means we’ve had non-stop looks at games like Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Street Fighter 6, and, most excitingly, Invincible VS. Although most of the on-floor gameplay hasn’t revealed much new,a big announcement was made on-stage for the final day.
That announcement was the long-awaited confirmation that Omni-Man is going to be a playable character. That was very obviousconsidering he’s one of the main characters of the show and comic and appeared in the reveal trailer, but we now have a good idea of how he’s going to play and, most interestingly, who’s voicing him.
Omni-Man’s reveal was hinted at minutes before it was announced at EVOwith a fantastic little tease on the game’s official Twitter page.
Omni-Man looks like a total bruiser in Invincible VS
And J.K. Simmons is back in action as we all hoped
The trailer for Omni-Man showed off plenty of his fighting style, which is like a much heavier version of Mark’s,judging by the trailer. Omni-Man also has his fair share of moves referencing the series, including a Hulk-esque thunderclap and an ultimate that sees him dragging his opponent through buildings.
We also got full confirmation that J.K. Simmons is returning to voice Nolan in Invincible Vs, something thatseemedto be the case in the game’s reveal trailer. It’s not been entirely clear whether everyone from the show is returning (Rex sounds a little off in his gameplay), but we know that Omni-Man has the voice we were all expecting.
Now that Omni-Man has been showcased, we’re at an exciting point in Invincible Vs' lifetime where we don’t really know who’s going to be announced for the game next. Aside from Lucan, we’ve seen everyone who appeared in the game’s reveal trailer, leaving the roster wide open for characters like Allen the Alien, Damien Darkblood, and a whole lot more.
