The worlds of reality TV and video games usually stay in their own respective areas of cultural relevance. However different they are, they do both hold an impressive range of characters that fans of both will love, hate, orlove to hate. What if, though, there was a way to mix these media concepts?

Love Island has taken the world by storm with its romance, messiness, and shenanigans. While the real-life people make it plenty of fun to watch, some may wonder: what if you could get video game characters into a Love Island season?Romance games or not, here are some video game characters we would want to see on Love Island.

The fantasy worlds of Baldur’s Gate 3 are definitely dangerous ones, albeit quite pretty. However, after saving Baldur’s Gate, the characters deserve a little relaxation. Why not take one to the villa, and who better than the fan-favorite Karlach?

She’s got the outfit ready for the sunny weather, and doesn’t seem to mind the heat too much. Romantic when it suits her,and brash most other times, she’d be a welcome member on Love Island, able to hold her own and have fun at the same time. Whoever matches with her just may need some burn cream.

People who have played the Mass Effect games are sure to have their favorite and least favorite characters, especially when that comes to romance options.

Miranda Lawson is loved by some and hated by others, which makes her perfect for a Love Island series. A smooth talker, she also has the benefits of being a genetically-engineered super-soldier, so the games they play won’t be all that hard for her at all. Just be sure you don’t get in her way.

The Dragon Age series another fantasy epic that is not afraid to show a bit of romance between characters. Dragon Age Origins has a solid cast, but none would be so interesting to see on Love Island as Morrigan.

She’s rather cold when she first meets people, but for those who take their time to impress her, she is actually quite happy to be romantic with the right person. The magic mixed with the cool demeanor could be a great mix for a group of Love Islanders, as long as she doesn’t turn anyone into a frog.

There probably isn’t much of an overlap in being one of the world’s leading special agents in fighting off mutated zombies and reality TV romance drama, but maybe we’d all be surprised by how well Ada Wong does at Love Island.

She’s got the dress and the impressive moves to make herself a well-liked potential partner, but she is rather unique in her sense of mystery. It would also be interesting to see how she deals with all the drama. If only there were someone she had history with to add to the villa as well…

Leon and Claire back-to-back in the rain

Cyberpunk 2077 took many ofthe RPG elementsfrom its predecessors and updated them with some pretty serious cyberware, including how it approached romance.

One of the characters your V could get cuddly with was Panam Palmer, a mercenary who was pretty fond of the tough sort. We think she would fit in quite well in the villa for her solo attitude. Her attraction to fit people isn’t a bad thing in this setting either, although most probably won’t have as many metal parts as she’s used to.

Being a Witcher, trained in hunting monsters (and people), isn’t exactly the skill set needed to survive on Love Island for long. But Geralt’s history of romance may give him some well-needed skills when it comes to pairing up with the rest of the cast.

He’s strong, knowledgeable, and has quite piercing eyes to boot. That’s definitely more than enough to make him a well-sought-after match in the villa. Plus, he deserves some time off from hunting drowners. Just, nobody tell Yennifer what he’s been up to for a few weeks.

While the Deathloop game didn’t capture as many audiences as it had hoped, it did introduce Colt Vahn as another unique Arkane protagonist.

Strong, sultry, and resilient, he has the skills to do pretty well in the villa. Islands are something he is pretty used to at this point, and messy relationships as well. It may be nice for him to spend somewhere a bit more tropical after being so close to the Arctic for so long, too.

Sometimes romance video game protagonists don’t get the best end of the deal. That’s just how romance is sometimes. Something surely a few of the Love Island contestants can attest to.

This just means they deserve a second chance. Which makes Vincent from the Catherine series the perfect choice for a season of Love Island. He’s all too familiar with drama and love triangles, which means he should do quite well in the show. As long as neither Catherine nor Katherine get added as a bombshell later in the season.

It only makes sense to have at least one pair of cast members in this fictional Love Island cast be prepared to pair off with each other from the get-go. Why not pick a pair that has plenty of tension between them?

Yes, we’re talking about adding Leon Kennedy, if nothing else than to see how he would react to being on Love Island with Ada Wong. Are they a thing?Do they just work together? There is only one way to find out. It’s not zombie or mutant hunting, but they should add some interesting tension to the mix.

Every Love Island cast needs a bad boy, or at least someone who looks like one. Ichiban Kasuga fromthe Yakuza gamesis a perfect choice to fill that role. While brash at times, he is also fairly aloof and humorous.

His time in Hawaii will do him well in the villa, both climate-wise but also where the random tasks and challenges come into play. He’s a hard worker who knows his way around money too, something that will surely make him plenty of romantic friends along the way. Plus, those tattoos are sure to draw some attention.
