How To Place Signs In Death Stranding 2
You can already start placing signs in Death Stranding 2: On The Beach once you get past the prologue, and the procedure isn’t particularly difficult.As you move around, you’ll see an emote on the lower left part of your screen. Simply hold the down key on the left side of your controllerand the sign menu will pop up.
During the early game, you’ll only have four sub-categories in this system,with the online aid requests one being unlocked just before you reach Australia. Here’s what the signs in each category have:
Symbols
This category is at the top of the wheel, and it’ll help other players identify what they can do in a particular area. For example,you can use a directional sign to tell them where to go, or mark it as a point of interest.

This can be found on the top left side of the wheel, andit generally has a bunch of signs to express yourself. One thing to note here is that Lou will be happy if she goes through the “Good Work, Lou” sign.

These are the signs that allow you to, as the name suggests, have a little fun. You caneven play rock paper scissors with other players here.
Guide Info
These signs can be used to warn players about different dangers in a specific arealike BTs or armed hostiles.
Online Aid Requests
Finally, this is the most interactive set of signs in Death Stranding 2 as it’ll let you place aid requests andpeople can help you by giving the required itemsor creating structures at the location.
Once you place a sign in the world, it’ll be randomly visible to other players, andthey can interact with it to give you likes.
How The Likes Help You
When you first learn about the social system of Death Stranding 2, it might seem like just another thing you’re able to ignore, but it holds a lot more value than you think. The like system in the game is just like another stat, and the more likes you receive, the higher your social level will be.
