Monster Train 2has a variety of different ways to upgrade your units, from permanently stacking buffs toMerchants Of Steel,which are rooms located between battles. These come stocked with lots of unique upgrades, like Largestone, Immortalstone, or Mossystone. You’ll need to spend gold to upgrade your units, and as a default, cardsonly have two upgrade slots- though this can be upgraded with an artifact.

How To Upgrade Your Units

Units in Monster Hunter 2 are primarily upgraded viaMerchants Of Steel. These are upgrade rooms located between each battle on your run.

You’ll have a choice offourupgrades per shop, although you can rerollonceto take a look at some other options. The four options will range fromcheaptoexpensive,with the more impactful upgrades usually costing upwards of 100 gold.

However, you may also get upgrades from theCelestial Alcove.This is a rare upgrade room that has any number of possible events, including unit upgrade options - likeTitanskin.

The room after the first battle willalwayshave both a Merchant of Steel and a Merchant of Magic to choose from.

Upgrade a unit with Quick and 10 Martial.

Allows your unit to attack before enemy units and provides extra attack.
